I know that's my home state. I'm starting to see my hometown mentioned in more and more videos and honestly it crushes me too. I'll be so upset if our cost of living becomes unreasonable here. We were always a cheap humble nice town. I get the apprehensiveness. The mass exodus from the West Coast is driving up prices and changing the culture (not always for the better) of these quaint places.
I like this video that you did. Being that I am also from Florida myself ( real native) and my whole family is really Florida. Tallahassee to be specific, I definitely understand how you feel about people moving here. It’s to crowded in this state. I feel like you should make a part 2 but this time talk about North Florida.
The “please don’t move here intro” while making a video (that you profit from) about whether or not its a good place to live is annoying and a turnoff. We’re ALL moving around. My city is #2 in the country to move to. Its not a problem specific to Florida. Get over yourself ma’am and get to what we all came here for…
This is HER channel. If it’s not your cup of tea I’m sure there’s another human who would communicate in the ways that resonate for you. And if this video was offensive you may not make it out there sweet baby. Because there are some people out there that can be rough around the edges frfr. Same as Chicago. Or NY. Or the Bay Area. Even Missouri. But I promise you this woman’s delivery on what to expect in Florida was really some light work lol. And she was real through and through. But at large in ALL states or countries it’s good to be understanding that the humans there are just as tired of the bs their governments throw at them + how the goal posts are always moved right when you think you’re getting ahead. So I just it’s wise to understand or at least mentally and logically empathize with the fact that the natives are just as exhausted as you are…..so much so that you find yourself watching videos like these to weigh the options of relocating. No shade. Seriously. Just be foreal. Everyone is in the pursuit of happiness + financial freedom + peace & healing just as much as you. That’s all. Stay blessed.
It’s like that everywhere. Literally. I’m from Atlanta and the way people just be MOVING. Like it’s less Atlanta natives than not now. But people go where life leads them unfortunately. It’s nothing we can do about it. I came across this video because I am relocating because of career purposes. I agree with what you’re saying though because I feel the same way about my home and now I’m bout to be just like the people moving to Atlanta 😂
This video was EVERYTHING I was looking for. The REALITY. It’s completely understandable to tell us that are trying to migrate to stay away. Because it’s awful that the natives don’t receive the “loyalty discount “ like you touched on. 💔 And I hope you all don’t mind people moving there that genuinely would want to find real ways to help in the community. Not just move there and be selfish w/o being considerate of the natives. Or not get to know the history of the city/state from the actual HUMANS there. Not just the internet. This video put a lot into perspective; still going to visit for a few weeks to get a feel for it in person. Also what suburbs would you recommend for black women? Besides Brandon. If there are no others that is ok. Thank you so much for this video! You did amazing.🙏🏾🌹🌹🌹
Great video.. i feel you when people bring up 'get a better job" argument the reality is we all should be able to afford to live no matter how much you mske. if we didn't have fast food workers..then where would you eat?..how about sanitation, trash collectors how would your street be clean..cmon people gotta think before they speak. I'm from nyc i just came down to see the beautiful chocolate Floridan women like yourself
I'm in the SF Bay Area looking to relocate to a Black American community, my state has become overran with immigrants. It's nice to hear a Black American perspective on Florida (I didn't know we were still in FL). Outside of Tampa, are there any areas of stable Black American middle class enclaves? I'd love to see a part 2 of this video. Thanks! 🌻
@@astralwisdom7410 thanks for the tip 😊. Jacksonville was on my list. I was a bit concerned w/the gentrification happening near downtown and if Black folks were going to survive or thrive with it. Are there any neighborhoods that you can suggest taking a peek at in Jacksonville?

Hi I live in west Palm beach. I'm a black American woman and I will be moving to Tampa, Clearwater somewhere in that area because my son dad who is Spanish wants to move there. We are not together (we are co-parenting) but I'm still moving there in my own place because my son is still young (6 years old) and I want to be in every aspect of his life. If it wasn't for the dad....I would move to a different state as well. And then my autistic brother just moved into a group home in ocoee Florida which is another reason why we (my mom, dad, me and my son) are moving that way. Been in south Florida all my life.... originally from Georgia but I grew up in Florida. People from other states moving here have raised the cost of living. It's sad.
I live in Austin TX... It is COMPLETELY overrun with Californians. It's damn near impossible to live here. And YES, I've always wanted to live in Florida. My Grandma is from Florida, so I feel as though that gives me a pass!😌😘
Go to another place TX city or maybe the Carolinas. FL is overrun with New Yorkers, some Californian and immigrants. Jacksonville has hella hoods but i has nice areas too. So idk
I agree on the Jacksonville piece. I fell in love with the south side but more than anything how blunt but actually hella kind the humans were in FL in general. So much so that I’m considering moving back. Just as long as I’m by the water or surrounded it I’m good. Because my soul literally just needs it and I don’t go against what my soul says. But when I go to new places I purposely will take what others judge as a “shxtty job” to sincerely HEAR from and learn the people. What they’re going through and to learn how over time I can contribute even though I’m not a native. Because the natives are just as human as I am. And it’s not humane to just go somewhere and be making things worse even if it’s unintentional…. Not contribute or connect with the humans in REAL meaningful or empathetic ways. Just doesn’t sit right with my soul. -A Midwest raised-Bay area-made WestCoastian
It appears to be hard to move anywhere now and days but it is very frustrating how immigrants are moving to south Florida and feel as if we owe them something. They refuse to learn English, they are rude, they are insensitive and lack alot of common sense. People ask me all the time why I don't speak spanish and my question is, why you dont speak english? If I were to move to another country, I know that it is my responsibility to learn the language of that country and be appreciative versus entitled😒🙄 However, I do believe that when speaking about South Florida as a whole, it is a great place to be. Like many states, cities and countries, South Florida has their pros and cons. You must do your due diligence, remain mindful, and trust no one🤷🏾♀️
@Ms_Neffie I'm so numb to it. I literally had a hispanic lady tell me "Miami isn't in America, Miami is its own Island Miami is not apart of Florida." I refuse to go back and forth with anyone about anything so I said "wow, interesting" and moved right along🙄😒
Hawai'i is the most expensive state. I lived there from New Orleans last year and had to come back because of cost of living and low minimum wage and housing crisis.
🤔I thought this was suppose to be an honest review to help people decide if it’s a place for them ….more like a pro and cons list not a selfish intent to block peoples blessings 🙄 it seems like she just doesn’t want people to move there for her own gain and selfish desires which is not someone anyone should take advise from - All I took from the 2 minutes of watching this video is Tampa is an absolutely great option for a person to move ❤❤❤❤ much love to everyone
As much as possible of course. But you will need deposit money, first months rent, grocery money, and countless other items. Minimum, 10k in my opinion (unless you have a job set)

@FinesseGuru I don't know where you from but me being from upstate south Carolina and living in the Atl. No one talked about moving or vacationing in those cities. It was always Myrtle Beach or Daytona New Orleans Miami or if you in Casinos Cherokee North Carolina or Biloxiand las vegas. Or the carribean etc. As far as moving maybe New York City or California because of family or entertainment. Jacksonville and Tampa are boring cities that we knew about and no one wanted to go there. Strictly a thing somebody up north came up with. That includes Houston and Dallas
I'm from Nebraska but will hit 5 years in atl in January. I really wanna move and Texas, north Carolina, and Florida is in the list. Tampa and Orlando are much cheaper than Fort Lauderdale and Miami
I've faced wayyyy more racism In California than in florida florida not that racist to be honest yeah its flags but that's the same as somebody being racist without a flag. California is horribly racist state. It's more new Yorkers and up northerners in florida than people actually born in florida. It's in the data so half of these racist come from the north which proves the north just as racist.and it's conferdate flags up north as well Michigan and Missouri have them and some areas of new york I heard.
@JC facts!!!!! its all about experience your right. i even heard one lady say she experienced more racism in cali than in Mississippi. now that sounds so outrageous but end of the day experience is experience just like you said. and wow!!!!! dawg i knew cali was racist but mannn not to that extent thats crazyyyy. threw rocks at you because you black with a Asian girl thats something you will see off of s old Alabama movie or something
@JC a older guy from fl told me the same thing that cali is far more racist than Florida. but than also i got to remember cali and fl have alot of transplants from other states so you got people from all over polluting those two states with their acts
Those confederate flags been there in Tampa Back when Tampa was mainly Black & White Americans. The city was very Southern. Most of this stare is Southern/Country with Swanps & Beaches. It had way more indigenous Black ppl. So the fact that is unrecognizable as such is disturbing

Why tell people to stop coming to FL but you went to Canada? You sound just like those bigots who would tell you to go back to Africa. People have been migrating long before you were even thought of. People are in search of places they can afford to live, and that's just life. The issues aren't the people moving there ,it's the local government and lawmakers who need to get it together. You deal with who you vote for on a local and state level. The major cities are becoming over crowded but there's not one state that's too full.
Ok so your basically dealing with what Indiana is dealing with all the Haitians and Hispanics because our housing market is “cheaper” 😂 we trying to come up too and I’m sick of this cold weather… I heard Miami is racist if your not Spanish or rich. I want to take my esthetics license somewhere else.
I’m from Florida. Florida is the cheapest place to stay . A lot of people from New York New Jersey they move to Florida cause they say Florida is very cheap. Florida is way cheaper. Where I live in Ocala it’s expensive cause it’s a white neighborhood. Orlando fl it’s very cheap 1 bedroom apartment for $400 or 500
What???? Where do you get those numbers? Orlando rent and housing prices are higher than Tampa! You can’t even rent a room for that price. Slowcala does not compare to either Tampa and or Orlando and is not a good comparable.
Well.. I'm from the Midwest in Indiana. We eat racism for breakfast! I had been considering moving to Florida. I guess I won't be doing that now because of other factors. Starting my brand elsewhere.

I thought it was a video to inform black people about moving to Tampa. Seems like it was just a review about Florida.
Right I cut off immediately
@@amandalewis1936you hating anyway
Right she a straight hater
I like this video that you did. Being that I am also from Florida myself ( real native) and my whole family is really Florida. Tallahassee to be specific, I definitely understand how you feel about people moving here. It’s to crowded in this state. I feel like you should make a part 2 but this time talk about North Florida.
I would love to do a part 2 but I am much more familiar with central Florida :)
The “please don’t move here intro” while making a video (that you profit from) about whether or not its a good place to live is annoying and a turnoff. We’re ALL moving around. My city is #2 in the country to move to. Its not a problem specific to Florida. Get over yourself ma’am and get to what we all came here for…
I do agree with the cap on rent. We’re all experiencing this…literally everywhere
You can forward the into :)
I just left Atlanta, my home, and moved back to Tampa where I built my business at.
New York flushed a toliet and sent all these ppl dwn here TF - Floridaian. I rarely meet real Floridaian
Girl that’s everywhere 😪
I’m glad somebody said it lol
Listen every state ppl are moving there it’s just not Florida rent is going up all over the United States get over yourself
You are such a beautiful black woman and im following. Thank you Queen.
This video was EVERYTHING I was looking for. The REALITY. It’s completely understandable to tell us that are trying to migrate to stay away. Because it’s awful that the natives don’t receive the “loyalty discount “ like you touched on. 💔
And I hope you all don’t mind people moving there that genuinely would want to find real ways to help in the community.
Why did you name it Tampa Fl but talked about all of the cities in Flordia
Brandon ain't tiny anymore. It's like an extension of Tampa now. Crowded and expensive.
You are right :)
I hate Brandon
If I was AA I would not move to Fl. This governor is proud of his racism.
Thanks! 🌻
I would say look into Jacksonville , FL . There is still a balanced economy for now but it’s changing quick with the heavy influx of people
@@astralwisdom7410 thanks for the tip 😊. Jacksonville was on my list. I was a bit concerned w/the gentrification happening near downtown and if Black folks were going to survive or thrive with it. Are there any neighborhoods that you can suggest taking a peek at in Jacksonville?
Man I feel the same.
Tryna set up shop in FL somewhere from LA, CA. It's horrible in CA. Black American population decreasing like crazy....btw u are beautiful 😍. I'd love a brown skin sista like u for real!!!!
😂😂 you came to Florida not to be over run by immigrants
@2929Royality Same in FL especially the Southern part.
🔥 Great video!
I stumbled on this video looking for things to do in Tampa for my birthday trip (I'm in my 30's) if you have any recommendations I'd definitely appreciate it. However I completely understand I live in NYC and as a born and raised Harlemite I've personally experienced gentrification and it's detrimental to the native community
Are you ethnically American. Harlem has an immigrant problem
I understand what yall mean when yall say stop moving places bt we are being priced out of our homes as well I'm from Tennessee rent has quadrupled its the big companies taking advantage
It's sad.
Smh
I live in Austin TX... It is COMPLETELY overrun with Californians. It's damn near impossible to live here. And YES, I've always wanted to live in Florida. My Grandma is from Florida, so I feel as though that gives me a pass!😌😘
Lol, yes you get a pass 😆
Sounds like Nashville. They’ve damn near single handedly increased the entire housing market here 😅
Go to another place TX city or maybe the Carolinas.
If I were to move to another country, I know that it is my responsibility to learn the language of that country and be appreciative versus entitled😒🙄
However, I do believe that when speaking about South Florida as a whole, it is a great place to be. Like many states, cities and countries, South Florida has their pros and cons. You must do your due diligence, remain mindful, and trust no one🤷🏾♀️
Girl I live in CT and they are doing the same shit here. It’s so annoying.
@@Perseveranceoutset wow are you serious? Disgusting! It’s like the disrespect towards us and then on top of that the entitlement is just insane.
@@Curlyheadedneff yeap
As a black, native South Floridian, I totally agree with everything you are saying. :(
enjoyed the music.
i want to move to tampa florida
Being born somewhere doesn’t mean you own the state. Lol
This video was like 50 percent of complaining
How much money would you recommend having saved up before moving?
As much as possible of course. But you will need deposit money, first months rent, grocery money, and countless other items. Minimum, 10k in my opinion (unless you have a job set)
I prefer Hallandale beach Florida beautiful city good beaches and restaurants and growing businesses and communities, and good nightlife.❤
You are an attractive woman. Whatever man comes home to that every night, is a very lucky man indeed.
I moved to Tampa from Jax originally moved from Chicago and kind of regretting it. Jax had a lot more affluent black people. I have been in Tampa for 7 months and I have not seen hardly any blacks. Brandon is saturated with black people. I think there are TONS of very rich and affluent people however, not sure it’s for me. Tampa is small compared to Jax. I really liked Jax. I will be moving at the end of my lease. She is on point
Lol😂 Tampa and Jacksonville two horrible places. Chicago must really be bad
@cutime6712 why are they horrible tho?
Great video. Are people friendly in Tampa bay? And how is the crime?
People are friendly and also not so friendly. Crime is kind of high, it is a larger city
@@SHAKILASUGARLUX thank you. Are you a model? Your so beautiful 💙

South Florida here!!
Yea Cali is horrible. i heard white ppl flinging the N-word around more times in Cali than anywhere else in my life
Those confederate flags been there in Tampa Back when Tampa was mainly Black & White Americans. The city was very Southern. Most of this stare is Southern/Country with Swanps & Beaches. It had way more indigenous Black ppl. So the fact that is unrecognizable as such is disturbing
@@denisebycapricorn but who saying that this stuff is unrecognizable though? Stop putting random words in my mouth. I'm talking from experience unlike most people just speak from assumptions and that don't get out they bubble and actually SEE for themselves instead of being gullable

Do you prefer Tampa or Orlando? I'm a black single male with a degree and have a background in marketing, pharmacy, and retail management? Originally from Miami
Tampa
For a black male 25. Single Young professional with a lot of dreams and desires. Also a Taurus lol. What part of Florida would you recommend besides Tampa to live in. I also would prefer to live not far from the fun but far enough to enjoy nature and peace and serenity, maybe even an ocean view. I’m also coming from Long Island ny Awesome videos btw 😊❤
Look into Jacksonville, FL. There is still a balanced economy here and it’s very diverse .
Did you move?
It's unaffordable in all major cities! Why are you limited this to Tampa?
I got a Master degree and Florida wages are low and the jobs are mediocre
Oscala aint even a place people talk about like that
How can one tell people where to move? Is Florida too full or something? Oh no.
You should do a video on dating in Tampa!
This review has so much false information. California is the most expensive state to live in. You are contradicting every statement you make.
Well.. I'm from the Midwest in Indiana. We eat racism for breakfast!
I had been considering moving to Florida. I guess I won't be doing that now because of other factors. Starting my brand elsewhere.
✔️💪🏿
And your absolutely right… I’m sick of it 😂😂😂… I NEED MY SUCCESSFUL BLACK PEOPLE AROUND ME BECAUSE ITS DEFINITELY NOT HERE… I have tried to tap into this lifestyle culture down here coming from Atlanta i cry every day 😂😂😂😂😰
Is Tampa ghetto/hood? I’m in Atlanta and I need to find somewhere else to go.

I have lived in several states and originally from Chicago - I get that gentrification and cost of living going up is a thing however a way to mitigate that is education and home ownership. We have to start seeing the opportunity available in situations like these instead of all the negatives. There are negatives - not disputing that. But the thought of telling people that live in the same country not to live there is terribly weird. But I empathize with the fact that you are grieving a town you dont know any longer . Just try to see the positives as well …. Lol and I’m moving sis 🥲 sorry In advance.
You literally left Chicago for the same reason and yall are battling illegals. There are not positive or bright sides to being ethnic cleansed
