Great video, I removed the lashers on my 2008 Charger SXT, It was a pain getting them off, I had to perform an special surgery: Make the top hole bigger (Used a drill bit then a carbide with my Dremel), You have to be careful with the debris, the arms are aluminum, through that hole used an old valve upsidedown as a punch (what a power punch!!!), Even though I had a hard time, they came off. I had to perform some machining in the holes for the new lashers because it was to tight to fit them in, specially the lock, but after 2 days straight working on that lasher replacement, worth the effort! This job is not for everybody, as an engineer I had to perform the drilling carefully like neurosurgery, especially for the aluminum debris not getting in the holes, I had to perform a special debris cleaning procedure
They all have a spring inside of them. if you press the top of the lash adjuster and it goes down and comes back up its good. if it doesn't then its no good and need to be change. When a lash adjuster is stuck or has collapsed and there is no spring release it makes a tapping noise on the lifter cups.
@@phigo4kins That depends on whether it's already filled with oil. If it's filled with air, it should squish down. Then when you release it, the internal spring should extend it again, drawing oil in through the check valve. Once filled with oil it should be "stiff" for some amount of time before bleeding down again. Even good ones do bleed down over time if there's pressure on them.
@@CheapskateGarage Bro ....How the H does that unpressurized piece of crap take up the clearance and give the Required valve lash clearence ? It is just a spring in there ?....and there is just a hole for some oil to maybe get in ?
@@Extremeineveryway Ok, You still had The side to side play after replacing the Lifters and you installed it like that in your engine and it ran without issues/Knocking?
@@Extremeineveryway Do you still have the car? How is it Holding up? Any Rocker Arm ticks/knocks? Or If you don't have the car anymore,, how long did your repair serve you? Hi quick question I bought some rocker arm assembly when I received it the yellow thing like the orange thing on your video on the lifter is broken but I glued it would it still work ?
mustang adrian check to see if the button has come off the lifter. If it's cracked so bad that the little tip can come off you're better off not to glue it. Try replacing it with one that's not cracked
For anyone who wants to replace the lash adjusters, the best place to look is partsology. They have them for $3 and some change. I got mine there. I rebuilt my rocker arm assembly. I got to do the other side( drivers) and I'm going to record it from beginning to end.

I need to know how you get them out of a 2004 dodge neon 2.0 rocker arm. There is no hole in the top only on the side for oiling.
This is an excellent video. I’m going to make one tomorrow.
Great video it’s on time for me thanks 🙏 I’m doin a valve job and the engine was tapping up top
How did you get the lash adjusters back in after removing?
Mine is about 4x as yellow as that, where do I get a quality replacement assembly?
how to install one? hammer it in?
Good tutorial
How were you able to tell which lash adjusters were bad?

@@demecoj I thought when the Lifter is hard to push down means they're good? And when you're able to compress them means they're No good.. ??

Extremeineveryway what is that yellow thing called ? Could I just buy it separate
I recommend that you change it and save your time and money going back inside that engine. installing a damage or broken part can cause damage.
Hi buddy, do you have a part number for these please?
