Amazing that this version can hit so hard without the iconic background vocals that are on the album track. Cam once again proves to be one of the greats who knows her own voice, and her music, well enough to make it work no matter the arrangement or accompaniment. Crushed it!
Cam is such a dynamic vocalist. Her music wasn’t “pop” enough to keep her in the “country” loop. But damn this woman can sing. Put someone in front of a mic with nothing but an acoustic car. No digital voice bullshit. Just raw vocals and you can tell who can actually sing. And Cam has the pipes.

It was a very well-crafted narration of using Peter Pan as an allegory for a wishy-washy relationship. Both artists are very talented and both artists have their own style, why somebody would put down another simply because they don't find them as good as cam makes no sense. Even if you don't like Kelsea ballerini you can't deny that she has talent.
