@@microplasticdiffusion Thanks for watching! I didn’t want to take the easy out and have recycled gameplay mechanics going from world to world. Also, I would love to hear your feedback on the demo 👊🏽
happy to hear the progress! lol i remember when the jumping animation was broken, hope i helped with my comment back then, youve come a long way, congrats!!!
I wish you and your game good luck! I can see that you had fun making this game, so I'm sure that we will with it too. :) Happy Holidays! Never quit developing dreams!
Ayy thanks for the support! frfr it means a lot. I had a blast making Ducky Runnerz, I'm glad that's felt through the video! Happy Holidays 👊🏽 I'll continue to chase my dreams! The same goes for you! Keep grinding at what ever you got going on 👊🏽
@@anOccasionalGamer Well I started learning Godot two months ago. I have a very simple space shooter made, going forward with platformer stuff. I started learning programming about a year ago and I love it. I'm an IT teacher, I teach 5th and 6th graders how to make simple games on Scratch. Other than that I love reading and writing books (big fan of fantasy, science fiction and history). And of course gaming :) You knew that :)
@@ЯворХаризанов Oh wow that's really dope. It would be cool to see your space shooter game. I have a game dev channel in AOG discord server, feel free to share your game progress there 👊🏽 Being an IT teacher sounds pretty cool as well!
@@anOccasionalGamer I actually got into programming and game making when I learned at my teacher license course (2 years ago). Before I was a teacher (and also now) I was in charge of the school project team - I wrote the correspondence in English (I'm not a native speaker), I went to meetings, I travelled, I translated the products etc. So that is what I was doing. What about you? What did you do, before you got into gaming? (Sorry, I'm relatively new to the channel)
I don't know what the steam deck process is. I'll look into that. Could you please help me out with that? You could search up the game on your steam deck and see if you could download the demo
@@anOccasionalGamer Sure, I can try to run the demo on deck. I don't know about the process either but when you scroll down on the steam page with your game there is a steam deck rating where it shows a status, I would start there it's called steam deck compatibility.
I just tried the demo, and it runs really nice and smooth on my deck it also has a little bit of a challenge which is fun. I am gonna have an eye on the game.
@@anOccasionalGamer Jokes aside I got some experience with saving content and inventory saving the player is easy just make the player independent from the levels and save the variables to json then for what levels you unlock not sure I guess if you can access a level would be an int maybe use a for loop for every level in the array if less than x than you can't access more than x
This looks really cool
Thanks yo! I really appreciate it, hard work pays off!
