Elevated Hunting Blind

  • Me and my wife worked many weekends on the hunting blind. The floor is 10 feet off the ground and the roof is eighteen feet from the ground. It is a 6' x 8' room with carpet on the floor to quiet your movement. The backside has a staircase leading up to a 4' x 4' deck. The deck was built to be able to have a door on the blind that would swing outward. I am planning on adding the door later.

    The blind is easy to put up and take down. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxvlQxmcZQzSQSYbJsEgAGvG2DaduKTV99 As a female hunter, the ease of placing and setting up the blind is a plus. It’s more of a wind barrier than a warm quilted blind. Which makes it a lot lighter than our quilted blind. I enjoyed the larger windows/openings. Made for a successful season. It has held up well for the first season and the stitching looks good

    The amusing part is that your 'camouflage' is clear to the deer. If you had painted it pink they would not notice it as they cannot see pink. Those panels are pretty.

    It's great that your wife is willing to hunt with you. If you can keep her from getting cold that helps alot. You might want to think about a solid door and plixa glass folding or sliding windows to keep the wind out and your heat in. Good luck! ! !

  • @rudygeorgiamulesandcountry1594
    @rudygeorgiamulesandcountry1594 2 года назад

    Insulation won't help at all with all the heat going out those huge windows !
    Ventilation will keep the metal from sweating, you have plenty of ventilation !
    Very nice camo job !

      Ron Hart we are in the blind right now. This is the most comfortable I have ever been hunting. But I definitely need windows, it was way to windy the last couple says.

    Really, really nice. You will like the aerial view to get a nice shot on deer. I wouldn't spend time or money camo painting the treated lumber. Once deer get used to it, it won't matter. Good luck and be safe.

    Someone else mentioned it, so I will too, do you draw up plans for this and if you did would you make another video and show the dimensions? I believe you may snag a sponsor? Just a thought. Thanks for the video and enjoy the company of your wife, mine passed away so spend time together and thanks again! Look forward to your next video.
