This is SO outdated. Most people know this is NOT true. It is absolutely inherent. Not to mention he uses very negative language. I don’t rate him as an expert at all.

And we have the ACEStudy, we have the Iowa Adoption studies. We have so much work that shows the damage that comes from dysfunctional parenting. We should be ashamed of ourselves and so should this dude. It appears to me that the goal is to break kids and then discover some Crispr something or other and sell that instead of preventing the devestation in the first place. This is a terrible lecture and it’s highly deceptive.

It’s the Environment. My guess is disfunctional hostile parenting. Screens which cause sensory deprivation on a developing brain & w/a screen mirror neurons aren’t activated so you aren’t practing social skills. And avoidant attachment. Even Selma Fraiberg saw the contribution of Hostile parenting. So did Bowlby and Harlow. It’s shameful that we say it’s environmental but discount the poor quality of parenting. It just means kids get to keep suffering until civil action collapses. A society that doesn’t protect her children & ours doesn’t deserves to collapse. We’ve done this to ourselves and our areogance won’t allow us to see that.
