- Passing the ParaPro Assessment is a must for those wanting to be certified to be a paraprofessional in several states. Many people make the mistake of not studying math hard enough for Paraprofessional Assessment- this is a mistake! Remember, as a paraprofessional you need to review and have solid understanding of basic core topics like reading, writing and math so you need to really go back and do serious math review to be a confident on the Paraprofessional Assessment. I’m 43 yrs old. I have one question. WHERE WERE YOU!!! in my school days. Math was my worst subject just by watching this one video I feel idk good. You’re a great 👍🏾 teacher. 🙏🏾 I’m going to break out my pencil and paper and rewatch. Oh New subbie. I felt like Math has defeated me all my life. Sad but true.

@@christyrich1969 it’s not as hard as you’re thinking. Do the problems with him on some paper and just practice. Change the numbers up. You got this!

Many people have a Teflon mind and things don’t stick easily. A repetitive study of the practice questions from spirassp was all I needed. Questions and answers I studied was live in my test.
I have been a substitute teacher for nine years and want to become a Para and become more valuable an asset to school and students.
Having to retake my para test because my original scores have been lost. Math has always been difficult because of dyscalculia but I was able to follow along and understand your method of teaching.. thank you.. subscribed.

I started in college going into early childhood education and had to step away from it to afford to live. I am now going back to my passion/ calling. I was recently offered a reading position at our local school pending passing the Para Pro. I will be scheduling my Para Pro test soon so I am trying to get a refresher for mathematics as I have not always performed well in this subject. I look forward to learning from you. I think that you helped me remember some items that I forgot. I moved a lot during my elementary and middle school education so I feel I missed some of these items in between moves.

I have become a fan of yours. Learning alot. Math was not my thing. But, at age 55yrs I understand what I did not...
I never went to college, i never succeeded at anything either, I'm constantly broke and idk I'm just tired of it 😞 I really want to better my future. After working for the girls scouts for a while, I noticed I enjoyed working with children, only obstacle now is this test. Just gotta hit the books and study and hopefully by the summer I can pass it 😩

Don’t doubt yourself! You will do amazing things! Study and your confidence will reach a sky high level! You’re amazing no matter how long it takes!

My test is on Tuesday and am losing my mind already people. Math am not ready good at it, hoping this will help me.
Does anyone know how they score the test? I read that you get a point for every right answer and then a raw score is converted into your scaled scores.

It was always to my understanding that you could only solve the fraction problem straight across if your denominator was the same. I thought you had to cross multiply divide.
This seems really easy i get the steps but arent these test timed? Knowing me i cant spend doing all these steps for one equation lol.

I am wanting to become a Special Education Paraprofessional because I was recommended by educators.
I am not looking to get a teaching degree. I want to assist teachers and students in reaching their vision and goals. I am passionate about teaching students in the academic language that they learn in, not forcing them to learn in an academic language they don't understand. My exam is tomorrow. This will be the second time that I take the exam.

Math is my favorite subject
I’m planning on becoming a paraprofessional to help children who are struggling in my children’s private school. A private school doesn’t have the resources from the state to help children struggling.

I'm not smart at all :( I have a paraprofessional test on Monday for ISD...I only get 2 tries. I did the practice test and got 16 correct out of 34. I took it twice. It's so hard and no one to help.
I wanted this job so bad so I can provide and have insurance:(
