10 years before the incident, that same judge who sentenced Ethan to 10 years probation had sentenced a 16 year old drunk driver who killed ONE person to 20 years in jail. And that person was from a poorer family, thus proving that if you or your family has money and influence, you'll get a light sentence.

@A.D Thomas Sr. see? White privilege doesn't exist anymore, racism against blacks has ended, it's been ended since 1965. Blacks now have their own holiday, and an entire war was waged on their behalf. I'm talking about BLACK PRIVILEGE. Your movement has reached it's goal long ago. You have your rights now so you can chill out. You've had your rights since the 1960s. What about the Cannabis users? Cannabis users can be black too. By lifting the prohibition on Cannabis, blacks could have EVEN MORE RIGHTS, and more importantly, so could everyone else. It's time to concentrate on the real issues of today.

I still have a strike on my record, and you're telling me this kid is "to rich" to go to jail for killing people because "he didn't know better"? Are you fucking kidding me, he should of got the 40 years in the first place.

The judge needs to be in prison. That same judge has given prison time for vehicular manslaughter before this and after this kid. It’s beyond obvious that there is corruption going on here. This is a clear indication that there are two legal systems. One for rich and one for poor.

although this family paid there way to freedom, they will have to live with the pain and suffering they caused all those victims families forever. where ever they go people will chant murderers for the rest of there lives. So the only satisfaction People can feel for this Disgusting excuse of a human being getting off like he did, is knowing this will follow him where ever he goes.....

Having killed 4 people because of his reckless driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs and been incarcerated and subsequently released from prison, in January 2020, Couch violated his Probation for the second time as a result of repeated substance abuse. In the interests of public safety, he should have his driver's license revoked, and be return him to prison. Being from a rich family, he will probably just get a slap on the wrist! Despicable.
