Since this will be one of the earlier clears recorded and put on youtube, it might be used to study up extensively until the real guides come out.
If you want to help out others, feel free to timestamp things in the comments. For example:
    4:04:56 - Orthos Rockfin
    Have fun in EO!

Awesome job on solo dude. I give kudos to anyone who does this solo and beats it.

"We should just do this run for potshards."
    8 hours later
    "oh woops, guess we clear."

judging the enemies and the damage from the first party runs it was pretty obvious that EO wouldn't last for more than a day at that point before someone solo's it

Nice to see everyone getting their clears so soon after release, still waiting for Angelus to clear.

Thank you, Finh. This helped me clear 91-100 on my PLD earlier today! So....walking only challenge when??? :D

It's crazy how you're fighting for time from floor 1 on tank and healer. I think I'm going to take my time farming sustaining potions and try on a DPS.

Hello Fihn, I found your channel a week ago and I am using your WAR guide to learn all about PotD and try to get my Necromancer tittle, your guide is being EXTREMELY useful. While I try to do my necromancer attempts I am starting to solo this one to clear my head and have a bit of variety, I heard you say tanks are not as worth using here as DPS unlike in PotD and HoH so I have a few questions for you: I have all classes so what would you recommend me to pick for a solo run? I am a mechanically poor player (that is why I picked WAR for PotD and not MCH or RDM) but I am careful, I rotate well and I pay attention to detail, 2nd question: if I go dps is it better to do individual pulls from the very beginning or do I pull in pairs/trios? Thanks in advance

Ultimates are still being added so.... I mean... community gives their own social titles. We say like 'triple legend's, so DD just gonna have to come up with one

While overall the DD really isn't too hard I do think pretty much every boss is far too tanky without a clone. Playing tank/healer and trying to save 15+min for a boss at the end of an unlucky set just isn't at all fun and requires you to spend most if not all of your poms leaving you with nothing for the next 10. Honestly I feel like this DD relies on luck the most and I think that's a step in the wrong direction. I was hoping for something more mechanically challenging yet much more static in difficulty. It's not a very fun experience to rely so much on something that you can't control imo. I doubt it will happen but mob HP in general should probably see a small nerf while boss HP definitely needs one to prevent luck overshadowing any skill/knowledge you might enter with.

yeah the hp makes solo’ing pretty tedious even on dps, it’s just way worse for tank healer. I haven’t had any issues not being able to progress because of bad pomanders, but I agree it feels more tuned around constant pomander usage. For example using a knock back pomander in EO equates to a massive time savings over using a knock back pomander in previous deep dungeons.
In some ways I like it as it feels more roguelite-y but the way mob hp is tuned feels bad to play

The essence of DD is luck. If you’re not into that, it’s probably not for you.

@@PareSM I'm aware of that, and have managed to beat all 3 currently in the game within just a handful of attempts so it's not like it's "too" random, it's still fun and very doable. I just don't think more randomness is the right direction to take these things, it seems to be the main reason it's not a very popular activity. I know a lot of people who don't want to risk throwing 7+ hours into it only to be dealt a bad hand of pommanders or get a particularly awful spree of debuffs, so they never attempt a solo. I think the idea of climbing progressively more difficult floors where dying actually has consequences is very appealing on paper, but the execution of the idea that we have holds the mode back from becoming a better/more populated activity.

Out of curiosity, how do you think PLD compares to the other classes when it comes to difficulty? I would like to try as SMN or PLD but I wasn't sure which one is considered the "go to" class so I haven't attempted a solo run yet.
