I really had to point this out... the richtofen we have played as since origins is the one who lets primis richtofen die because if it’s post revelation richtofen that means we completed the revaluations Easteregg with him therefore we’re now playing with the one from orgins. This death means nothing, there are infinite versions of Richthofen and the one we've all played and love is still with the crew as we see in the ending, the cycle ends and the new timeline begins

The part that most got me was the end when Richthofen says “I was the nicest one and you won’t even remember me” rest in piece Richthofen
Let’s make this clear guys, *RICTOFIN TECHNICALLY DIDN’T DIE!* At the end of revelations, Monty sends them back in time thus resetting the whole storyline putting it into a endless cycle, in blood of the dead, were back in the endless cycle but rictofin isn’t aware of that and doesn’t know about this endless cycle and doesn’t know Mothy is about to turn his back thus putting them into another cycle. The rictofin we play as in bo3 returns to end this cycle after knowing what the future is set to be for ever, Rictofin must sacrifice himself because he technically doesn’t exist, thats why at the end when revelations rictofin comes, the crew no longer sees rictofin on the machine. That’s why they don’t look back or say anything, they can’t see him he has basically disappeared into thin air and they don’t remember him. The only one that can see him is past rictofin therefore telling him he can’t live and that he will no longer exist. The ending is sad because rictofin has worked so hard to defeat the shadowman and has to die and doesn’t know why, he’s doesn’t understand he doesn’t know what happens if he goes through that portal, he thought he was gonna defeat the shadowman and him and Monty would win, he doesn’t know what happens after this. Rictofin has ended the cycle and has saved the whole zombie crew and isn’t even there to celebrate the victory 💔 Thank you rictofin. Origins-blood of the dead

Technically Alcatraz is like Black Op's version of Purgatory/Limbo. So once they were freed, they were able to continue their journey to either Heaven or Hell where they were supposed to go.

The original richtofen is the one that came from the ice chamber because he's gone through zetsbou, gorod, and revelation. And since the cycle kept going, he went to another demesion which is how he appears inside the ice chamber and meets with the cycled version of the crew

The reason why they never said goodbye was because they never really liked him from the start. In origins, Nikolai wished his demise on Rich. Dempsey doesnt trust him either, and Takeo, well he is just Takeo i dont know how he really feels. Rich tries so hard to spend some time with them just to like him but sometimes, things have to end at some point which is sad. I could be wrong but i think this makes sense imo

Daniel Bech he was from another timeline that was repeated before this one, my guess is another Richtofen with the blood vials came to him and told him he needed to get to Alcatraz and stay in the chamber until he was released, so a Richtofen gave him a single blood vial so he wouldn’t be reset when the timeline was

I understand that in terms of Zombies there couldn't be two Richthofen's at once making the crew a total of 5. But story wise why after the machine took his blood, after the warden and zombies were all freed couldn't they have saved Richthofen? What difference would it make?
Hey I know this was 3 years ago but I would like to answer your question if you dont mind. I believe that version of richthofen had to die and give blood in order to break the cycle. If You remember they were all stuck in a loop doomed to repeat things for ever. The weasel was the first to break that loop by killing everyone the rooftop when he was suppose to be the one to die. That paradox caused a chain reaction. So the richthofen we have journeyed with did everything to perfserve his life. Make sure he didn't have to give his own blood die or what have you he like he said in his final words wanted to be the main richthofen master minding everything. That in essence is apart of the cycle. If they saved him they'd be basically restarting the cycle and be forced to repeat events. Unfortunately he had to die in order for the cycle to be broken and so they could fight Monty. The man who put them all in that cycle so he could live in his perfect utopia. I hope that helped.

i to loved the characters of this story line i have plenty of memories about this the story and Easter eggs i miss it really wish it hadn't ended this storyline was the best zombies cod did and is still better than all those other new ones this made my call of duty what it was
