Is this air dry clay? Can I use the “paint” you made on polymer clay that has to be baked? Great tutorial! The wood looks so realistic! I am attempting to make a lake dock so I need something similar
Hi! The clay that I'm using here is unbaked polymer clay. I've never tried this method with air dry clay but I assume it would work but that depends on how well airdry clay takes water. If water beads up on the clay then you may not be able to get a full even coat. You can try making the mixture thicker with more pastel shavings and less water (to resemble paint) and see if it spreads and stays. Hope this helped!
That looks absolutely stunning.
I'm going to try out those techniques for door and wall planks, for a D&D miniature house.
I did it!! it really work at my first time. Beautiful wood texture. Thank you so much ❤❤
Stays the "paint" on the clay after baking? What if its gets wet?
Güzel bir teknik toz pastel boyaya krıştırdığınız sıvı ne acaba?

Could I also just use acrylic instead of chalk paste?
I haven't tried it with paint, but I bet it would give a similar effect!
