I remember playing this back in the day..The music especially on Level 2 used to give me goosebumps..Really showed what the Snes was capable of and made the Megadrive look crap lol

One of my favorite shmups from that generation, or ever. Inventive use of Snes's impressive GPU makes levels interesting, and surprisingly good looking even to day.
Firstly I am glad others have experienced this awesome game and I would ask the question HAS THERE BEEN ANY OTHER SHOOTEM UP TO RIVAL THIS GAME? (EXCLUDING THE RTYPE SERIES) excellent gameplay my friend, thank you for reviving my shoot em up days(awesome skill time learnt I am sure:)

I haven't found another Shmup with a soundtrack as stellar as this one.
Not a true TAS run, IMO, but still well done. Axelay is one of the better games for the SNES.
