Shes very talented but shes still very entitled (she made some of her fans sent death threats to a girl that had the twitter user Danna, because she was trying to rebrand from Danna Paola, to Danna), there are mixed opinions of her in mexico specially in the industry who remember her tantrums. But long story short, she did start out as a nepo baby whos dad bought her roles and then got bullied into unlocking her potential

Person A and person B are equal, but person A comes from pedigree and their dad might come in handy in the future. Who would you choose? If there was just less talent to choose from, the issue may not be as prevalent since talent and labor would be scarce. So until we see economic shrinkage and a decrease in population, nepotism prevails.
The Dutch dub actually cast the original actresses who played Elphaba and Glinda in the Dutch production of the stage musical as the Dutch voices of Kristen and Idina in the movie. Elphaba and Glinda themselves are voiced by actresses new to those roles (mostly because they wanted a Black actress to dub Elphaba) but the actress who voices Glinda actually played Elphaba in Germany! Which makes her one of the few actresses worldwide who has played both roles!
She was also banned from the television network she was working (televisa) they offer her roles for novelas and she preferred wicked, I love that she choose art over money

To me, she sounded sonically superior to cynthia, just a tiny smidge. It sounds more powerful and the feelings to convey through song is more convincing. Cynthia’s voice is too velvety imo, we needed power in this scene especially. Comparison aside, the movie was spectacular! Waiting for a at home theater release so i can watch it in all different languages.
I didn’t even know the songs get dubbed as well. because I watch it in English regardless. But it makes sense since it got made into a kids movie. Wow that means they need A+ singers for every country, and they don’t even get their flowers😅
I saw Dana Paola as Elphaba, so glad she got to do the Spanish dub. The only thing wrong with the Spanish dub is that they changed the “what is this feeling” lyrics. They are very different from the original Spanish version of Wicked in Mexico, they should have kept it. I wish Danna said something. ❤
