Alexal_PT, my opinion is that this is the best rendition of this song ever. Lucy hits every note and does not require the use of falsetto as in the Righteous Brothers recording. I have heard a lot of Elvis growing up and liked a number of his songs. This one I prefer Lucy. To answer your query, yes, I am traveling from the United States just to hear Lucy in London. For context, I have gone to a number of concerts over the years of orchestras, big bands, jazz groups, but never for a singer. Lucy is so good that not only will I buy tickets but will fly to London to hear her live.

Lucy never ever disappoints. As one reactor has said. “Lucy never attacks a song. She just sings it the way it was meant to be sung. She never adds any tricks, because this is a song not a carnival. For me, this is the best performance by Lucy to date. The low notes and high notes are in a class of their own. Thanks for giving us your feedback.
It's completely fine if you like Elvis version better, it's a song written by a man for his lover and it will always come across better that way. For me, however, the best male version is Bobby, Elvis is trying too hard and the best female version for me is Lucy.

To answer your last question first. Yes, I will be at the concert on 22nd October in London (theatre Royal West End). I am travelling half way around the world to do so (from Adelaide in South Australia). It was an easy decision for me to make because that is what one does when the opportunity to see and hear the best female vocalist in the world comes along. Is this the best version of Unchained Melody ever. It is certainly the best female version I have ever heard. Bobby Hatfield’s version is hard to beat, I am ambivalent about Elvia’s version so I will settle for top two!

Lucy is well known for her beautiful, effortless perfection. First note to last, this version is perfect, but that is what we have come to expect from Lucy Thomas. She's also one heck of a nice person!
Everyone interprets performances of songs in their own way of course!as far as I'm concerned Lucy's version is my favourite!, though everything this beautiful young lady releases has that effect on me!😊,there are a# of very fine vocalists around at the moment but in my humble opinion Lucy is blessed with that extra touch of Stardust!🌟
