Gentlemen my congratulation for this video tutorial is so good to soldering , I do to watch and learned about it U are a good teacher and Master on God bless U for
Soldering lead chimney flashings etc I use a small iron and low heat! Never seen it done like that before! Pretty cool! Nice to see someone else make own lead boot pipes!
He is not soldering he is welding. Soldering is not suitable for exposed lead work like this. Soldering is also weak and liable to fracture with movement due to temperature differences
It's always good when someone takes the trouble to make a careful video of a skilled job. So thank you. A couple of comments though. First, you could ditch the irritating and distracting percussion track that adds nothing. Second some cutaways shewing the burning gear and flame you are using. On the face of it you have a massive flame which would be hard to control and could cause burn-through and undercutting. You have no filler stick to supplement any puddle thinning that may occur. Third, your collar/upstand is already shaped: it would be good to see you lay that out. Fourth you do not mention what code you are using - I imagine Code 4. Fifth there is something to be said for keeping a piece of pipe in place to ensure distortion doesn't make later fitting difficult. Tack welding the upstanding first would useful. Thanks again though.i
Everybody got to start some where But watch a video on how to weld your flame is far to aggressive that why it doesn't look good you ne to add lead as you go in the form of 3 mm stripe you may want to invest into a better welding mixer All the best every day is a school day don't be happy with ,that will do, 👍

Agree.
Do you buy the upright part the pipe goes through, or do you make each one? If you make them, I would like to see the process.
Very nice. What torch are you using? And what fuel?
It looks like an oxy-acetylene torch using a mixture of oxygen and acetylene gas.
Nice work
What torch are you using??????????????????????????????????????????????????
Porto pack, it's shite,
Get the model o gun

What size nozzle are you using, Regards Ian.
Very Very cooooool Sound !@!
how much time this torch hold up firing?
This music is awesome
That is completely wrong mate,
That base should have a filler rod.
Cheers... what choon is that??
blijft de plaat hangen of zo?
Nasty welding
may I use propane instead of oxy and acetylene?
No need to use acetylene, dont need a flame that hot at all
@@kf8575 Maybe he just used what he had available?
Gargouille plome
Works better with a 600w 10mm spade end soldering iron flux and lead solder you didn't use any flux did u
He is not soldering he is welding, soldering would not be suitable for this kind of job
no need the flames so small & hot it melts it all together plus soilered joint crack
Why the stupid music? Very annoying!
Turn off the sound donkey
