Well, think of Back to the Future when Biff stole the sports Almanac from the future. He was able to rewrite or recreate a timeline so he left a carbon footprint for a different future/world.
Despite terribly inconsistent and horribly written the cw show is, it does a good job at explaining some things about The Flash as a whole. For example, even though it was told once, the Star Labs gang told Barry that he needs to consume tons of calories or else he'll pass out.

The Arrowverse show actually explains that the negative speed force protects Thawne from timeline changes. That line from S3 was just Savitar trying to trick Barry into not killing himself.
My favorite explanation about Thawne being a living paradox is that explanation Doc Brown gave Marty when he tried taking the sports almanac to the past. In *normal* timeflow direction it would make sense for it to create a paradox, but for Thawne to get better and not fall for the same trick his future self did he has the power to just look up publicly available info of how Barry stopped him "a few days ago"
"every single time that we see him in a comic book, its just a different point in time in his life", this is true of every character tho, that's how time works lol
So glad you mentioned Dr. Manhattan bc Roarshak is just the shittake!!!!! "I'm not locked in here with you your locked in here with me" one of the greatest lines ever!!!!!
It's so interesting to me that a lot of Barry's villains are by his own creation. His time travel, him going to different Earths, all catch up to him and gives him more enemies.
The best explanation is that during the new that event, Reverse Flash didn't know what was going on, he admits he sometimes has to go around and read the papers to see what's going on in current events before he does anything because the knowledge doesn't pass when that Reverse Flash dies those events are only know to that RF and unless the new RF figures out what happens he has known idea. I think its kind of funny he could have tried the same plan 30 times over and not even know it.
Bro put himself on a time paradox just so he could troll some guy for eternity. Reminds me of Thanos bulling that one kid for his whole life for no apparent reason
Black Manta also technically isn't allowed to kill his hero but for editorial reasons, because it has been show that if Aquaman dies, Manta will just leave the villain business to live a peaceful civilian life.
I always thought about this with time travelers, if they die, another version of them would still just be out there in time and space until they accidentally retcon their own death
It's insane cause all this started by Thawn being a fan and studying the speed force because of his respect for flash. Then bro wanted to be the flash and there goes the neighborhood.
That’s one of my favorite quotes from Savitar in that show “cause and effect’s a tricky thing, didn’t work so well for Eddie did it? Shot himself in the chest, Thawn’s still kicking around, see that’s the thing about time travel Barry, the more you do it, the less the rules apply to you”
I love Eobard. He's the most ridiculously petty villain who has the most busted power shy of reality warping. And the fact that the guy he hates is the nicest guy ever makes him even better imo.
DC has so much potential on showing those cool concepts in theaters with realism and CGI but they seem to focus on competing with marvel at their game more than having confidence on their own stories

I'm glad you gave credit to cw flash tv show. Ik actually surprised that the logic used in the show still held up all to the final season, because after s5, Eric wallace took over and we know how that went.
He's one of the coolest villains by fair even hes look is dope
Timetravel always overwhelms me.
He also single handedly held together the dc universe at one point, as much as he is a troll, he is a stand up guy, also ngl I much preferred Tom Cavangh playing him. Tom is a brilliant actor I could watch him in so much
The Arrowverse show actually explains that the negative speed force protects Thawne from timeline changes.
Bro literally used all the save slots in life
"every single time that we see him in a comic book, its just a different point in time in his life", this is true of every character tho, that's how time works lol
Love the fact he said the savitar line to explain why reverse flash keeps coming back😂
I must be a paradox too, cause every single time anyone sees me... that is just another point and time in my life too
He has always been one of the most interesting characters to me his whole reason for existence is genius 💯
So the reverse-flash is a lich whose phylactery is literally his arch-nemesis
sounds good
The best explanation is that during the new that event, Reverse Flash didn't know what was going on, he admits he sometimes has to go around and read the papers to see what's going on in current events before he does anything because the knowledge doesn't pass when that Reverse Flash dies those events are only know to that RF and unless the new RF figures out what happens he has known idea.
"I *always* come back."
- Willeobard Afthawne
He'll always be his biggest fan.
Reverse flash is one of my favourite villains since how petty he is
The animated movies don’t get nearly enough love as they deserve
Season 1 of the flash did that pretty well
I like how this guy shows a page with Reverse flash telling Barry that he can kill him while talking about the opposite
You know Barry, I feel like we could do this dance forever…
My favourite super villain of all time
Cw flash shows first couple of seasons were really good
I grew to like his suit. Can't have your ketchup without your mustard
DC Execs: We can't just keep bringing characters back.
Flash writing staff: Hold my beer.
This is mental gymnastics at its finest
This clip has made me miss the flash tv show so much more Tom Cavanaghs Reverse Flash was amazing
reverse flash is one of the scariest villains because he basically like a super speed zombie hoard that remembers the last time u killed one of them
For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.
I always thought about this with time travelers, if they die, another version of them would still just be out there in time and space until they accidentally retcon their own death
The fact that Dr. Manhattan had to step in and "merc" Reverse Flash was kinda OP though! 😂😂😂
The definition of “To angry to die”
wouldn't be the first time i saw a bad guy in a yellow suit always come back
It's insane cause all this started by Thawn being a fan and studying the speed force because of his respect for flash. Then bro wanted to be the flash and there goes the neighborhood.
Imagine someone creates a magic barrier specifically for paradoxes just just so he can’t travel to a specific day
That’s one of my favorite quotes from Savitar in that show “cause and effect’s a tricky thing, didn’t work so well for Eddie did it? Shot himself in the chest, Thawn’s still kicking around, see that’s the thing about time travel Barry, the more you do it, the less the rules apply to you”
It’s also great tho because each one doesn’t want to die, because it’s like clones. Not the same EXACT guy every time
I love Eobard. He's the most ridiculously petty villain who has the most busted power shy of reality warping. And the fact that the guy he hates is the nicest guy ever makes him even better imo.
This is why he is my number 1 favorite villain from DC.
Everytime I see anyone, they are at a different point of their life too. That's how time works.
Enter lord beerus uttering the word “Hakai”
"Did you know that I cannot die?" -Kraft Punk
Crisis on Infinite Earths: Let me introduce myself
DC has so much potential on showing those cool concepts in theaters with realism and CGI but they seem to focus on competing with marvel at their game more than having confidence on their own stories
Great example of how you greatly put yourself and your time at risk by being in the past.
