A lot of people are way too micro focused rather than macro focused. They’ll put up a big damage number and think they carried the team, but if they’re doing that damage in all of the wrong places and not getting any value from it, than it doesn’t matter.Simply knowing what fights are and aren’t worth taking goes a long way.
These videos should be mandatory viewing for unite players regardless of rank/skill. Thank you!
Agreed, 100%
4:01 "invading is a macro based decision" *my teammates on their way to outmacro the opponents by doing the macro play of 4 man invading my jungle*
This bad macro 🥺
The only reason I got into moba was because of pomemon unite. I never really got interested in any other mobas because they just didn't feel like fun to me. So this video was **very** helpful to me! I did see people talking about macro and micro before but never really knew what it. Thanks for sharing this information with us! It's really helpful
I am a tournament player and every season (until) now i hit 2000+ rank points in master. If i solo que this season, i can see that alot of people are struggeling on macro play because of the new map. Alot are clueless in wich decision is right. Your video should be a introduction video for all players before they can play ranked. Keep up the good work bro i subscribed😄👌
It would be cool to have a part two in depth macro discussion with someone on your team there as well. I don’t know who is the shot caller (it may be you) on your team but them and you would be awesome!
Wow this helped me a lot Louche. I have this habit of changing Pokemon when I lose and I'm now realizing that I should probably try to stick to at least one Pokemon each role and practice a lot using that Pokemon. It would be fun to try out all Pokemon but this video helped me realize that there would be a Pokemon that would fit my playstyle and would help me win matches. Thank you so much for these types of videos!!
Videos explainimg these concepts are so valuable to help people develop their skill base for the game please do more if there is somthing you notice people dont do. Its helped me get bettee
Macro is something I honestly don’t always hit 100% - thanks a million dude 😎👌
Ayo don't even think about watching this video unless you're subscribed!! This man be putting out super informative content, not just "oh I did x damage with y pokemon" or " is cookie good on Mr mime" type of stuff
So happy to see you grow, Louche! Congratulations on 5K subscribers!! You totally deserve it and so much more.
My gameplay improved IMMENSELY when I started to put 100% of my focus on the macro side of things. There’s honestly such a small amount of time in a game that requires 100% of focus for the micro side of things and watching your map and the timers is just WAY more productive than watching your Pokémon punch farm
As somebody who's been playing Garchomp since launch and knows him like the back of my hand and where i as a Melee period would be at any point with an eye constantly on the mini-map my games are stressful but always winnable
I like to Watch(listen) this kind of videos at work, like a mini podcast
Blows my mind you only have 5k subs. You're a great teacher.
Such a great video for a "Small"content creator! You deserved a sub and like!
OH! And congrats on 100 new subs in the last 9 hours! You deserve it
You made me rly rethink how I play the game, so thanks for that
Grats on 5k great videos great advice as a 1600 Masters players i still take a bit from each video, cuz most of the advice is great.
I would love to see u do a play by play in a game( or a couple clips from a couple games) where u pause an explain the choices u have and why u chose x over y and basically giving some examples of good macros and the reasoning behind it
I have a few videos like that on my channel 😊
I'm surprised you don't have more subs. If there's anyone I want to learn from, it's a pro player
Congratulations on 5k subscribers Louche
Thank you for the video. Ironically micro and macro is what I've been doing, without knowing it
Micro is like how strong nudo is on absol but macro is the decisions he actually makes in game on the absol
I love these educational videos. Thanks for taking the time to put them together!
Congratulations on 5k! Love you alot!
very nice video, congrats for 5k
Loving this series of videos! Super super helpful please keep it up!
YOOOO 5k! congrats man
Great job hitting 5k dude
I feel I have relatively ok micro on Talonflame, but my macro is terrible. Thx for this!
You've served as my mentor on improving my gameplay sir louche thanks for always teaching and sharing your advice..🙏 ive been using cinderace since day one this is really helpful
Les go 5k man
Sick video! I will admit on mobile I find using the mini map difficult. But I need to try to use it more. I never use it when I’m KOd and when I’m moving about. I definitely could do that more to improve my game. I definitely make a lot of these mistakes not all the time but I think I’m getting better with them
Just subbed my guy 🤘
My teammates' idea of macro is everyone going bot for regice while the opponents proceed to overcap our goals by 37:(
LOVE THIS
This videos are amazing
Woah! Why am I not subscribed!?
I gotta watch more pro players as I have a script mentality. When the "typical" thing doesn't work like going for regileki or making decisions around Rayquaza time, I get confused and lost on what to do.
Full time gamer huhuhu ohhh the dream
So they're basically your knowledge and decision-making. Pretty simple
Now is 5k xD
Thing is even if I know and can apply all of this it wont help you unless youre team also knows it.
No I'm losing because I will jump in to 1v5 our opponents and my teammate refuses to di- I mean win a 2v5 with me. So I die unfairly and spam "Thanks!" while afk farming my jungler's buffs.
Nice
Alright the knowledge is out there for the bad players. Now we just have to get it to them some how. It's almost like TiMi and Nintendo should just buy this video from you and out it in there game.
But instead we get comic books.
It infuriates me that matchmaking in Unite allows for players to push through to Master without requiring even a decent amount of macro. I do think information from this video are suited for educating the mass of players so they can start striving for those improvements in map knowledge and timings at least in the levels leading to Master.
i have a qeustion. im a talon main and when my team dies and i usually get away and snipe rayuaza coz of my excellent secure. as u said being at an objective 1v5 is a bad macro.
But rather than only scoring 100 and letting enemies score 500 I secure rayuaza. Is that a macro or micro and am i doing it wrong or right? and what can i do better?
Note: i have like 2.2 K games on talon and i am very good at securing so im always outsevuring everything so securing ray isnt that hard for me.
Another comment for more support
This things not work on Soloq
Actually they do.
Better macro = making the best decisions on when to fight, what to fight for, and when to score, especially given the positions of your random teammates on the map.
Better micro = you outplaying your opponents and surviving the actual fights you get into.
@@ZhengTann it's fking no use when fking 3 people goes AFK 😞
Just quit playing this game previous day, since it's becoming paywall oriented, abusing players addiction to the game,
Inducing fear of loosing out early access to things,
Total bs scam marketing, worthy of getting sued
