- The Bua Tong Sticky Waterfalls, is so sticky you can walk up the waterfall.
Now unlike a normal waterfall, with water cascading over slippery rocks, what makes this waterfall so different, is that it’s fed by a calcium-rich spring at the very top, which rushes downwards over the boulders of the waterfall.
This makes them feel and appear quite “sticky”, and gives you the ability to grip them with your bare skin.
So much so, you can even climb up the waterfall in bare feet.
The Bua Tong Sticky Waterfalls, get it’s nickname from limestone mineral deposits which make it incredibly grippy.
In fact, the rocks feel like a hardened sponge which are callous and even slightly prickly to the touch, but isn’t painful to step on, and forms an interesting bubbly pattern.
The Bua Tong Sticky Waterfalls, are located in the “See Lanna National Forest” which is about a 90 minute scooter ride, 60 klms north of the City Chiang Mai in Thailand.

You should change the title. You promoting the destruction of natural beauty of the area.
Surely the waterfall is a natural beauty, and the constant flow of water, enriched with the stickyness in infinate, so won't be harmed by walking on it? I saw no destruction....
