Weird question, but do mobs kill while on the dragon count? Just did it with a buddy and he pulled as usual and we were still missing %

I thought it was a youtube bug for a second because the ad blocker makes it a bit funky but yeah, I think it's on his end.
Just tried to heal a tank who kept dying to the 1000% damage thing. Just didn't kite, so we wipe to it 4 times..
Is there a weak aura for the 2nd boss, so you can easily see his next weapon/ability?
