- The after-saving part of this conversation was completely deleted from the codec scripts of any released version of the game. It also has available dubbed versions in Japanese and German, but the latter is only partially implemented.
I took some liberties with the facial expressions, but they look alright to me.
Probably the best moment from Mei-Ling in the entire game. Everyone had at least one moment of apparent remorse, questioning if they were doing the right thing despite all that went so horribly wrong.
And then there's Ocelot 💀
Mei Lings accent was music to my ears.
Even when Mei Ling does the angry face, she still looks happy.
Snake's dialogue was actually used in The Twin Snakes Remake and David Hayter had to rerecord it.
I remember clearly that conversation... Strange. Anyway, I like the video.

UK version on PS3 absolutely has this whole dialogue sequence. I literally just played it. Unless they patched the emulated copy?

Don't know if it was actually cut. I played the pal version of the game and this dialogue was included (in spanish at least). Maybe it was cut in the NTSC version.
@@elsotanodechaz True, when i read his comment i was thinking "what is this dude saying?" And then i read yours, maybe in NTSC or any English version this call was cut.
This wasn't cut from the game. I remember this codec call between Solid Snake and Mei-Ling very vividly. She was emotional and questioned if they did more harm than good with their technology creations. I was feeling her for showing empathy for Otacon.

lovely sweetie baby ..in MGS 4, snake tries to look at mei ling during her speech but tries to avoid being too obvious.. and in MGS 2, some codec calls between him and otacon talk about "how cute" mei ling was haha

Keep in mind Mei Ling was coerced and threatened into this mission. This is her fear and anxiety bleeding through. She's been scared and vulnerable all this time.
That was Campbell, Mei Ling didn't need any form of coercion, other than telling her convenient lies.

Hello, I am investigating if it is possible to extract the audios of the game to listen to them, since I have only been able to open the radio.dat file in the notes blog, so I could see the hidden audios that it has and it would be very interesting. Greetings.

The dialogue before saving is in the final game, everything they say after I hit X is unused.
If you still think you've heard it, you probably played The Twin Snakes, since a lot of unused stuff in MGS1 comes back in the remake, probably because they didn't know they were supposed not to use it (this is a good thing, because MGS1 is scrapped material: the game).
I just played the game couple hours ago (ps1) and this conversation word by word is in the game. I don't get it
Sercan Yelen I can assure you that's not the case. The part where Snake says "No, you're wrong" is totally missing from the original game and is replaced with silence and dots.
sebool112 And it's not deleted. Integral version, after deafet Psycho Manthis, save and we hear that.
Pablo I am already aware it is present in TTS due to how they crammed the two voice tracks into one, but, I'll say it again, the after saving part is not included inside Integral, nor anywhere else in the original game. I will be happily proven wrong if it was.

The access to the data was deleted, the data is still there.
