In the preparation of the tandoor, you first need a smooth soil. That is, soil that does not contain salty and excess harmful substances. Clay is prepared from the soil and cooked on it, thoroughly processed.
Making an oven takes place in three stages. A rounded shape is first given to the lower layer, which is 40 cm wide. After it has hardened a little, a second layer is installed on it. After it also hardens, the mouthpiece (flange) of the oven is made. All this is done by manual labor.
The oven dries in 3-4 days if the weather is good.
Tanning is a profession left to us from our ancestors. I am a third generation tandoor. My son will be a fourth generation Tander. I hope our tanning dynasty will continue.
