Often sacrificing his salary to hire other stars, Keanu quietly contributes to charitable causes without seeking media attention. In 1997, paparazzi spotted him spending time with a homeless man in Los Angeles, listening to his story and sharing his life for a few hours. Within that sympathetic reciprocation, empathy begins to surface and allow one to sense others pain and even their needs. Generosity becomes one, out of necessity, for ignoring the pain of others instigates anxiety and often panic. I speak from personal experience. Good people are born into this world and made stronger in their goodwill from their own personal losses and traumas. Keanu is a blessed man.
