Howard Jones has one hell of a voice
I've done that jump ones, but from helicopter, not from a cliff. That suite has something like 3/1 ratio. Every meter u drop it carries u 3 meters forward. It's like beeing a bird, or something. Updrafts help only very small amount. In regular parachute Updrafts have much more effect. Howard Jones is singer of Killswitch Engaged band. Check it out. They have Holydiver cover too. It's very good
In 2013, Sommer appears in a web series called produced by Epic TV where he performs stunts with the late Ludovic Woerth (who filmed the flights thanks to cameras attached to his helmet) and Espen Fadnes. In the first episode, they went to Rio in Brazil and fly near Christ the Redeemer (like this video). In the second one, the three friends tried to fly under the bridge of Aiguille du Midi, located in the French Alps. Then, they fly between the Tianemen mountains in China, where Espen Fadnes narrowly escaped collision with a cable car. They jumped over Piton des Niges in the mountains of the Reunion Island in the fourth episode. Ludovic and 2 others took a wrong turn in a dive amongst the Swiss Alps and
crashed into a pasture 29 March 2014. Dangerous indeed. I'd rather stick with the helicopter!

Howard Jones is from the group Killswitch Engage, honestly surprised you don't know them since they are pretty big in the US :p
But that means you can discover some songs by them!
Best ones imo are "My Curse" and their cover of "Holy Diver"

I have terrible issues with orienting myself, I can't even dive in a pool because my brain needs to raise my head upright immediately... I wonder if being entirely out in the air would help, or leave me completely helpless and clueless until I'm back on the ground, like a cat in socks... %D

For sure 2 totally different guys, but i also thought first of the 80s singer. But he is a british white guy born 1955 and the other is an american born 1970. Not sure if he is black, but he looks at least as if he is not really white.
