I had to leave a comment since no one else has. Those guys have a great system down. Thank you for showing us. I love skilled craftsman that excel at what they do
Very nice of @BackWoodsBuildings to support the channel! That will be a super covered space for your new property build! Excited to see things come together!
Hello Andrew great video again i think this may be the most important built so far on the cabin site now you are ready whenever the weather settles down thanks for sharing
Thank you for sharing. It seems like it’s almost impossible to get any local Arizona companies to provide quotes and any information for the steel trusses. It seems like the most responses I get are from companies in the east side of the United States. So I appreciate you sharing the companies information And we look forward to more of your builds.
I myself has seen how they can do precise work in a limited time parameter. You got some good workers there. Andrew, that's why you use them over and over 👍
Thanks for this info. It is extremely timely. I am looking into a lean-to addition onto my RV shelter, which will be 40 x 12. I have checked with a pole barn supplier over at Hosford just west of Tallahassee. With the info you provided in this video, I can better evaluate how my project would be done by them. Not sure, but they may even use that crew to install it.
Great Video!! What's the snow load rating on that new barn?? 🤣🤣. Looks like your finding out tonight!! Snow in Flordia !! You guys don't see this often. 🥶
That does not get you wind strength on a design like this. You need to posts in the ground OR you need walls to keep the building from racking over on itself.
And I hoped to see you sitting on the roof waiting for help to get down, lol! Joking, congratulations on your first build, may you enjoy it for many, many years:)))
Hi Andrew, that’s a good idea to put a pole barn on the river property. Andrew are those plastic sleeves you put on the bottom of the post that goes into the concrete any good? 🇨🇦
I'm trying to price out one of these style of pole barns right now. I like the steel trusses but am trying to figure out the cost in wood per section for an enclosed pole barn. Could you share how much these need per foot of wall height and ceiling width. Or a price per sq foot for a simple shop. I am planning to do a 50x50x16 and I haven't found a metal truss company that will give me pricing on a full kit. I'll reach out to Backwoods for a quote.
The point I made in the video is these posts are the traditional CCA treated posts and not the newer and far more corrosive ACQ lumber that doesn't last and is corrosive to fasteners. It's the best and original treatment for wood other than old school tar or creosote.
@backwoods building can you get hangers welded to the underside of the truss to put in ceiling to keep birds from nesting? If so how would that affect snow load?
Andrew, any thoughts on water collection as backup for water well? In China now, have missed last 3 live streams as 0600 start here. Miss asking about CHOOKS.....

They do a fantastic job, practice makes perfect.

They are an awesome group of people, I'm very happy we are supporting each other. Take care!
Good stuff. I enjoy watching a build. They did a great job for you!
I agree! I was so impressed with their work.
Watching a well coordinated crew is a pleasant site to behold - those guys have their "chit" together!

Congrats on the new sponsor! Your hard work is really paying off in dividends!
Thank you, we feel blessed.

These structures started in the east and are slowly working west.
You really get stuff done, man.
Barn looks great. Love the channel. 🫠
Well done!

Lookin’ good!
heck yeah them young men are super stars!
They get it done!
@TKCL they do great work
Great build! Thanks for sharing! 👌👍
Another nice building Andrew. Thanks for the video. Take care young man.
Thank you for watching
Love it! Thanks for the content
Glad you enjoyed it.
3:4:5 Pythagorean right triangle, guarantees a proper square corner. Probably the single most practical thing you ever learned in math.
Nice build. Please do a follow-up video about cost.
Man, they did a good job and the crew knew exactly what to do. 😀 Looks good Andrew. Make sure Tiffany is happy too! 😀

Glad you found it helpful, let me know if you need any contact info.
Look at you recording 2 videos in 1 day! A bucket truck for crane isn't exactly the right tool for the job but it certainly got the job done!
It works, especially when you already own it for doing tree service work.
What a awesome video.
That is definitely the way to go.
A day and a 1/2.When you're good, you're good.Thank you very much for the video
These guys are super quick! Practice makes perfect.
Great Video!! What's the snow load rating on that new barn?? 🤣🤣. Looks like your finding out tonight!! Snow in Flordia !! You guys don't see this often. 🥶
Awesome video
Glad you enjoyed it!
That is so Awesome. I bet that is definitely a strong built barn.
They have very high wind ratings.
having metal brackets set on top of the concrete so your poster not in the ground are a much better option

Lol I hope to never repeat that again.
Any info on costs?

Uuuggeeee 💪💪
I am surprised you were not familiar with the 3-4-5 rule. It is used for many different applications to make right angles.
Good day to all. I see Live For Florida: SNOW?!?!?!, You all take care and stay off road if you can.
Yep, it's been snowing off and on. Crazy times!
@TKCL one foot infant of the other and you may not see the other set of footsteps, but they're with you. Hot chocolate?
Not yet.... Maybe some coffee
Welcome to the new DIY general contracting channel ❤😂🎉
?? Didn't label this as DIY.....
Those braces on the post should be attached towards the top of the post, to get the post truely level.
Loved It! Did you get snow?
Been snowing off an on the last 2 hours. It should start heavy within the next hour.
Thank You!!! A nice video w a few details.. I am looking forward to the sm house build to see more detailed videos of how-to build! KUTGW
Coming soon
Yall getting any snow over there today (Tuesday January 21st). It's a white out here in South MS
Yes it's been off and on. Should start again in the next hour. Crazy!

Don't put your poles in the ground set them on a concrete.
Damn good vid!
Thank you for watching
Is the rebar going through the post coated to prevent the rebar from rusting out from the corrosive wood treating?
The point I made in the video is these posts are the traditional CCA treated posts and not the newer and far more corrosive ACQ lumber that doesn't last and is corrosive to fasteners. It's the best and original treatment for wood other than old school tar or creosote.
Looks good. Did y’all get snow?
Yes it's been snowing off and on. A lot more coming.
How far away are you from your other home are to the new property
A little under 30 minutes.
Do they shoot their batter boards with a laser to ensure they are level thus measuring in a true straight line? Or they just eye ball it?
I'm not sure to be honest. As flat as Florida ground is they probably go with it.
@backwoods building can you get hangers welded to the underside of the truss to put in ceiling to keep birds from nesting? If so how would that affect snow load?
What Category Hurricane is that structure rated to withstand?
It's not rated to catagory, it's rated to 140 mph winds.
I don't ever thinkk I have seen a auger on the FRONT of a tractor
That's the way to go, you can apply ground pressure and get it perfectly plumb.
The guys didn’t put a couple of inches of gravel under the posts, first?
No, our soil is quite free draining. But gravel is even better.
Snow there yet.
Yes a few hours ago, now we are dealing with sleet and ice.
Andrew, any thoughts on water collection as backup for water well? In China now, have missed last 3 live streams as 0600 start here. Miss asking about CHOOKS.....
We just don't do that here since we get so much rain. Droughts are not common and our water table is stable.
28:30- "House Build"??? What have I been missing??
A lot, we've been posting videos for months at the new property talking about our new river house build. Working on the plans now.
at least when you hire it out you wont get trapped on the roof again! 😅
Lol true that!
I wish you would have showed more of the build and less talking!
