I dont think you can definitively say that when he hasn't been in this situation. It is absolutely super bowl or bust, and he just lost his absolute best defensive player.

Nope. Not on board with this. Brad Holmes and Dan Campbell have earned the trust of Lions fans based on their performance. Did anyone believe that when Holmes and Campbell were hired as GM and HC that the Lions in three years would have a division championship and two playoff wins, and just one half away from a Super Bowl appearance?
If we’ve learned nothing else about Holmes, he is not one to mortgage the Lions future to go for it all, giving up multiple high draft picks for one player. He hasn’t done it before, and I don’t think he will do it now.
I trust him but I believe that he learned from the Rams that when you have built your team, it is fine to spend draft capital for the right player

@@clintdegen I don't think they're gonna give the stud DE away for an unproven QB as a serious piece to the trade.. Hooker could MAYBE be a piece that turns it from 2 first rounders to maybe Hooker, a 1st, and a 2nd. But that's about it

There is probably no one that will have the same production as Hutch. But they have to find someone. Period. We are scraping the bottom of the depth chart at DE. We won't win a Super Bowl if we can't get pressure on opposing QBs, especially in the NFC North.

I don't think any of these wishes have a chance to happen. There are a few second tier names that would be just helpful enough while they change the defensive scheme because the outside pressure is gone this season and it ain't coming back, unfortunately.
I would do 25 and 26 1st in a heartbeat for either.
I think a better option would be Kendrickson from the Bengals. They are doing poorly and he would come at a resonable price and would fit the team.
