I believe silver is related to the idea of vampires not having a reflection. Mirrors used to be backed with silver, and silver is purified while vampires were impure, so, there you go.
Werewolves are my favorite, so I'm a little bummed that I missed this one live. While they're awesome as big, scary, hairy monsters, that extra depth (literal depth within oneself) makes them extra frightening. But I'm still gonna say the best werewolf of all time is the chick played by Merritt Patterson in "Wolves" (2014).
Both Joker movies: We are gods!
Professor Geek: *smacks both movies around like ragdolls* Puny gods.

Clap for the Wolfman! He's gonna rate your record high!
Bummer I missed out on the live stuff, but I'm glad to be catching up.

Hey that's one of my favorites!
Teen Wolf: Am I a joke to you?
I wanna ask, are you still available for editing? If not, when would be the next opening?
Are you gonna record one of your tales?
Where wolf? There wolf
Thank you so much for being so generous with all the hearts, Professor
