- DIY: Air Pump for Fish Tank with Plastic Bottle | Do not use Electricity.
Make an aquarium air pump from a plastic bottle that uses water power to work. You can do this at home and use it when there is no electricity.

Great idea. Last time my power went out I had the kids take turns blowing through an airline for 3 hours. Kids have amazing lungs.
Lmao
🤣🤣🤣
Wah😅😅 .....
Lol, Intention was good but all you guys did was blowed a lot of co2 in the tank.
😂😂😂😂
A very simple idea but it takes an inventors skills and mindset to ever come up with this kind of thinking. That is how great inventions were created, starts from the basic.
😂😂 he just copied that shit
Yep
Like there’s 100 vids of the same shit lol
You will never know who copied who, being first to upload a video or a content does not mean you got the original shit.
@Yoda Jedi @Yoda Jedi One purpose of uploading videos on youtube is not just to brag that you invented or know something. Other peoples reason is to share knowledge and inform people who does not know about this kind of creativity. People like you are the ones who discourage and ridicule people, this make greate ideas just stays in their heads and not be inveted nor developed.
Very clever indeed!
yey! I made one of this just now for science project and it worked! I just used 2L bottle. thanks a lot.
pano po ngawa ate
Whats the black piece at the end?
That’s so cool can u pls tell me what’s that black thing tho
@@Ann-wr5xg Oh, That's an airstone! you can get that @ a local fish store (pet fish) it's used to give oxygen to the fish when it produces bubbles they reach the surface and pop, That exchanges the gas in the water for oxygen, Your welcome :]
@@alondrahernandez5707 it was an air stone and it comes with different sizes and colors.
I believe that air will be pumped until the water bottle is filled with water. In this case, a volume of 500ml bottle+volume of siphon and it will take few minutes for filling. Once the bottle is filled, have to invert to release the water in to aquarium and that also would take few minutes. So an attender is required continuously to keep that working. Everybody in the comments section appreciated and puzzles me whether this has really helped. Title says " DO NOT USE ELECTRICITY" and this is no way an alternative.
i found this video today in case of a power outage.. i hope u got ur answer
@@vinodkanna27 exactly! So simple too and anyone serious about aquariums has all these supplies on hand.
What happens if your power goes and no back up system .... wouldn't this at least help.... especially if you used a 5 gallon bottle or 2...one sucks the other pumps.....
@@manstar2600 this helps less than just having aquatic plants and stirring the water occasionally or adding small amounts of hydrogen peroxide. The fish he's using don't even need air added. They breath from the surface.
I don't think that is a big problem.. We can just make 2 or 3 bottle.. While waiting for the fulled bottle, we can use other one..
I was thinking of adding a robotic arm to automatically invert the bottle when it's full, but I have to figure out how I can create that without using electricity.
Yeah, but it'll cost more than the normal aerator haha..
You have to build your AI robot and ask him for advice
You won't be able to do this without an external power input, it would cross the boundaries of physics. Laws of thermodynamics...
@@studio_rtr definitely.. if an engineer was smart enough they could use a small amount of free energy to create a very efficient pump with this technology that would seem to make it operate free of energy but energy must be gathered and put back into this to device to make it work forever. There must be a simple solution.
It is possible if ur covid pass out student
Wow 😳 you're so talented, I need to try this. Thanks for the video.
Great job thank you for sharing this video 📷👍😃
very creative...nice job👍
Good👍. Подписка и лайк)))
Very good idea. I will do that with my aquarium
Thank you, very helpful👍
Great idea when there is no current :)
Nice Idea...
But it's very useful when Power Cut for Long Time
You are a genius thank you ♥️( Hawaii)
This seems good when the power is out for a few hours
I think that is air stone..
Hours really in my native in rainy season power will be out like
2 to 3 weeks
@@nybrocky7769 perhaps consider the firing seasons too
Calcium carbonate
What his got tools
That's all I need my tank looking like its on an Iv 😅
Lmfaoooo
hey can we use it with external water source.. like if not took water from aquarium . rather took it from another bottle
this is a really good idea. i will be trying this so i dont have to spend so much on an electric pump. thanks!
Bro air pump only cost like 2 dollars
Maybe you should add explanation and list the materials just like Barangkali Bermanfaat 's aerator water bottle video. He really makes an effort to list the materials and tools and explain things clearly.
Good invention. Hope we can also use external water to avoid fish tank draining or emptying.
Yes, good idea. You can use a sump tank to avoid change of water level in the fish tank.
PERFECT JUST WHAT I NEED i am trying to put together a hydroponics kit for really cheap using products found on any high street or in the rubbish bin to grow a salad 1- tomatoes 2- lettuce 3- cucumber so anyone can afford to eat vegetables provide vegetables for their child this has helped me take out the water pump to aerate the water i know its not essential but it would help :)
just grow chickens they eat bugs and grains and make eggs and meat
@@stephenautopsy6246 rabbits are even better they just eat plants and a few insects
But node zero you should just use a simple kratky method using Styrofoam, plastic cups and a tub of water with nutrients such as waste water.
i dont think this can work since it will be stressfull for the roots to have the water surface going up and down that often
Please keep sharing that initiative, we all deserve to eat healthy and at low cost ❤
Thank you for sharing this video...
Wow its amazing appreciate your efforts and invention 👍
Great idea 💡 congratulations
Exactly what I was looking for 😊👍🏼
did it worked 🤔
@@5kwith0videos yes😉
@@gzz2906 For how long like can u do this without buying a pump ?
@Camesha Kin until you are tired of changing every time.... use a very big water bottle 🍶

Wow awesome what a brilliant idea thumbs up to this channel you deserve it
Great idea. 😊
thank you for this
its kind a nice for example when brownout hits on your area for an hour and you haven't charge your portable air pump and this DIY vid is a nice idea for situation that i statement above. ^_^ Thanks for sharing!
Brownout?? I'm so confused right now😳
@@kbur8963 it means power outage
Blocked out
Brown out = Pinoy term for power outtage
Every 1hour, back flip.. 🤭🤭👍
Thank you for sharing this video 🙂👍
Nice share.. so usefull 👍🏻
I might try that on a fry tote. Free air and also does small water changes each time its full. Awsome idea.
It works?
At the end of the video, he pumped the water back in, but you could discard and replace the water instead
Cool idea! Thanks! How long will it last?
Lifetime
Very nice idea 👍 DIY Battle Air pump with out electric..
I wonder if it as noisy as a pump would get, very nice work!
Last night we had a power outtage so this came to my mind to make one of these thank you
There is a battery airpump for sale you can use that
@@ceedenabogada9565 ....... -_-
I think this is a complete solution for a pump for fish tank without using electricity. Good! When water flow from the tank to the bottle it pushes air in the bottle to the fish tank. When the bottle is full, reverse the flow of water ( from the bottle back to the tank) which is still good as air is pump to the water in the bottle (which flows back to the tank). Good!
Black hai vah kya
Omy god it works and it works to LOVE FROM SRI LANKA
I am also Sri Lanka
Sungguh berlian ide anda 👍... 👍😁
ok i get it
;0 water displacement push the air :0
We can extend the process of pumping air by water by finding the right size bottle. Hmmm ..., but maybe this will drain all the water.
yes
only suitable for big size tanks..
Yay i did to make tuis to my pet gold fish thank you for making this video
God bless you😇😇☺
It has proven to be super for me and it works!
Do you know how can I work mine? The air is not working
Wow ang galing pwede gawin to pag brownout

It’s good idea.
Thanks a lot 🙂
Excellent! New friend here from the philippines
Amazing tutorial.... good video
very nice work man... legit free air
Simple and good 🥰
For 1.25 LT bottle ,how long u have to charge again?
When I used to have the power go out I would turn the water over with a pitcher for about 5 to 10 minutes every hour or so. The part you have to worry about is heat.
I say this is creative and good job.
Good and thanku,very helpful
I wonder if you put it on an axle and use the weight of the water to make it top heavy and flip back and fourth
No because it won't gravity feed unless it's below or above the water line.
@@jamiewatton7732 kudos to you mister! But I was thinking the same as derek.
There should be at least two bottles.
Alternately one below, and one above... For continuous air supply.
YOU ARE WRONG.
If that were the case two bottles despite being in whichever orientation would only double its oxygenizing power but not it's duration.
THE only way your idea would work is that the two bottles must be deliberately timed to start when one bottle ended and had some automation mechanic wherein the two bottles would switch places instantly when both bottles reach their transformative forms (Air bottle fills with water and Waterbottle fills with air) and (proceeding with timed start) the bottles are put in their desired positions to provide oxygen.
But the mere fact that one must put some kind of timer and create an automated mechanism (or even physical mechanism) would destroy its appeal to be made as it is advertised as low cost snd maintenance and your idea also suggests some kind of no electricity automated mechanism then it simply wont appeal and your idea is breaking the universal law of the law of conversation of mass - like a perpetual motion machine which proves that your idea is both wrong and breaking.
Thank you
Why didn't I see this before buying an electric air pump? Good thing I have many projects and will use this method soon.
Better install solar cells at home and buy an electric filter ;)
It’s a good idea for short term though while existing filter has gone out of order
Great idea. But im using solar...
Good
Cool no one asked
@ΣXΩTIC herping_so_az did i ask?
Wow u had done a wonderful job
Thanks for this. I’ll store it in my mental McGruber file.😁Awesome.
Yeah, no electricity indeed but you have to check up on the bottle constantly. Once the air stopped fish will run out of oxygen.
Very creativity idle pashout naman po thank you happy fish keeping everyone 😅

How about use a wheel that rotates when the other one si full?
What are the names of material?
Good idea but we dont know the materials..
It's literally a bottle and some flexible tube, you can find these in a pet shop
These video is so nice l am give 5 star
Very good comgratulations
Ye air pump hum permanently use kar sakte hai ya hame bottle ko khali karna padega jab wo bhar jaye
GOOD WORK
Thank you very much for saving my Goldfishes
Lol, I just won 4 goldfish from a fair tonight and I need this and some food
Perkongsian yang baik bos
Use 2 aquarium connect the hose to each other the water will cycle forever.
Yes men, nice idea.👍🐟
I think this idea will not work because the water bottle is placed under the aquarium, if the bottle is replaced by another aquarium it requires some pressure to get water to another aquarium
This is good but it takes a lot of hardwork to flip the bottle frome time to time
Gonna try thsi out thx for the info
Very simple
Super😍❤️
Now set it up with an auto flood and drain to empty when it gets full and loop the procedure
Like an aquaponics siphon.
Then I’ll be useing power
@@bobbobplaybob53 nope

So this is like a siphon . Very nice subtitute for brownout. Or if you put some sweat on it. Can be perma 😂😂😂
Hi bro saptingala
this is GENIUS!!!
Great idea !! 🐟
No body wants to this type of air pump in his aquarium,if bottle is full of water it does not work again but very helpful when electricity gone
That’s why he hangs the bottle on the window seal.
My question is what what the black thing on the end that went in the water was if there is no electricity ?
@@daejohneeleslie6667 what of the power is out for days and have multiple tanks 2 hands are going to have a hard time managing that
Especially when at work
Can use multiple bottles, lined up like dominos. Once 1st bottle is full, will knock next bottle and start bubbling. Can use up to many bottles lasting 8 hours.
Downside is once you come home from work in the evening, the tank will be dry and all the fish plastered on the tank's wall.
Bahi fish aquarium main oxygen ke lye jo air stone istamal hote hain wo kis trha bna e jate hain us pr bhi 1 video bnae

You're not supposed to put hot glue in the water though I thought but still, great idea!👍
It’s harmless look it up lol 90 % of fake plants are hot glued together
@@justinbutler2870 Oh really? Thx I wasn't sure.
But even still, silicone would probably be better. Hot glue doesn't hold up long in water.
