    Great Video! I see that your expertise is more of private label products which I plan to do at a later time. As a beginner, I'm focused on wholesaling products since it's already established and easier to sell than a private label product even though the margins are smaller. Do you suggest that I follow the same product research strategy minus checking ALL the "seller type" boxes and just checking the "FBM" box?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hello. I want to start by saying I love your videos. So easy to understand and informative. One quick question.
    If you want to sell products as is and not look to improve on them by manufacturer, would the numbers you use
    to do product research remain the same? Would you look for better products?

    • @CrescentKao
      @CrescentKao  3 года назад

      Thank you for your feedback, I appreciate it! The criteria should always be followed, including differentiating. If you don't differentiate, then you can only compete based on price and you never want to only compete based on price. You need to have a competitive advantage.

    Love the video, quick question...there have been a couple times where the rating numbers in the extension seem to drastically change when I check back a couple days later. is this likely because new listings are making it to the top 10 or because the data is sometimes outdated, or another reason? thanks

    • @CrescentKao
      @CrescentKao  2 года назад

      I'm glad you found value in the content! The rating number shouldn't change, it's tied to the individual listings. If you see it changing, then the listings in search results or the order of the listings have changed.

      @CrescentKao  3 года назад

      It doesn't matter how many sellers there are in a niche. You're looking at the level of competition. The higher the opportunity score the better but like I said in the video, never use it to make any decisions. Always analyze the actual data.

    Thanks for being so clear and generous in terms of information - I truly appreciate it.
    Question: When we are inserting our "minimum sale", would that make sense to multiply it by 2 or 3 as a rule, just because there's always multiple sellers?
    In other words, when a listing shows 300 sales and there are 2 sellers on it. Don't they make 150 sales /month each?
    Thanks

    • @CrescentKao
      @CrescentKao  3 года назад +1

      You're welcome! No, that's not at all how capitalism works or how sales get distributed amongst sellers.If there's multiple sellers, one seller could be getting all the sales. Or none of the sellers get any sales. The variations are limitless.

    Thank you. Had a question if you don't mind sharing your experience - a lot of product categories I'm finding have an opportunity score of 6 or 7/10, and the rating numbers meet the criteria for low competition yet when you look at the sales or the revenue stats, only about 1/3 of the products on the first page would generate the monthly profit I've personally set out. Is this enough to consider selling that product? Or must you find a category that has at least half of the products with the revenue/sales you set out?

    • @CrescentKao
      @CrescentKao  2 года назад +1

      You’re welcome! Never base any decisions on the Opportunity Score like I said in the video. Always analyze the actual data and make sure all the criteria I went over in the video are met.

    Hey! New subscriber here, love your stuff and will definitely be watching more.
    I was wondering, if your focus is finding stellar products within various categories, does branding on Amazon not matter as much? What if you wanted to continue finding quality products (that don't relate to each other) but still want to build a brand with a shopify store? Would you create a shopify store per product, or create an over-arching store that has the brand image across seemingly unrelated products? I'm torn between finding quality products, but losing the potential for holistic company branding opportunities.

    • @CrescentKao
      @CrescentKao  3 года назад

      Hello! Thanks for your support and feedback, I appreciate it! Branding doesn't matter too much on Amazon because buyers don't look through sellers' stores and pretty much all private label brands aren't well known enough for any one to recognize anyways. Having a brand as a seller helps by giving your access to brand registry, having brand protection and if you have a cool or interesting brand name and logo, it can help add value.

    Thank you for the video!! Super helpful:) quick question, might be dumb lol.
    When analyzing results, If the rule of thirds applies to the revenue and a third of it will usually be profit, and you’re profit goal is $3,000 / mo, shouldn’t the revenue be over $9,000? How come you stated $7,000-$7,500? Again thanks for the video :)

I have one question though, what if I find a product that is a better version of something already existing, it has a high demand also high competition (i know it should be low competition) but even if there are many, no one has the modification I requested to the wholesellers, do you think it's worth the risk? I would also pay for promotion on amazon since it s my very first order and i am a new seller.

      Hello Luana, I'm glad you're finding value in the content! I personally wouldn't. The problem isn't if you have a better design or better product. The problem with high competition is the unknown cost to get your listing ranked onto the first page. The high competition can bankrupt you before you gain any sort of traction.
