I’ve been a Seahawks’ fan since 1983 when I was 9 years old. First time I saw that silver helmet, they had me.

Just looks classic. New has too much going on. Simple, classic, great design. As a 49er fan, i hate the seachickens but, thats a good looking helmet

New 2023-24 throwbacks are not completely accurate. Original colors were Royal Blue, Kelly Green and Silver. Throwback colors are a brighter Royal Blue, Apple Green and light grey pants instead of silver pants with silver helmet. Helmet logo needs to be larger and moved more forward on the helmet but still leaving the two inch gap between logos on back of helmet. I do like the brighter royal blue jerseys though.

I became a fan during the "Seahawks Blue" helmet era. Personally, I believe that was the weakest of the helmets. I really love the mid-late 80s-90s Seahawks logo and color scheme. I was so jazzed this year when it was brought back for a few games. It's beautiful walking around a tailgate and seeing many of the throwback jerseys. I do enjoy the current colors and helmet, though, let's face it...when your team wins it's first Super Bowl whatever they are wearing will look incredible due to the memories. I like that the main "College Navy" blue on the current Seahawks' helmet is matte as opposed to gloss like the previous helmets have been. Also unique, I believe that the Seahawks were the first team to have their helmet's main color finish matte instead of gloss. As a side note, before the name "Seahawks" was selected in a fan vote, the team was going to be named the "Kings," and there was actually a demo helmet made. The colors would have been gold and purple similar to UW.

Old school
Their original colors were Royal Blue, Kelly Green and Silver. Not college Navy. These guys have no clue. In 1983, they changed to a matellic silver helmet and pants with royal blue facemasks.
We did our research on helmet history, and currently work with all 32 NFL teams on the equipment side. The Seahawks themselves called their original colors "college navy and action green", and in the next 5 seconds of the video Jay described that those colors are more commonly referred to as "Seattle Blue and Kelly Green". Don't worry, we know our stuff!
@@greengridiron Their original colors, in 1976, was NOT called college Navy and action green. That came years later the years they changed to the muted blue/silver jersey and helmet color combo. Go back and check your history FACTS. Royal Blue represented the waters in the Pacific Northwest. Green represented the forest and silver the mountains in the area
