I grew in Wisconsin, and was a big Oilers fan - loved watching Earl Campbell just truck linebackers and DB's. Hell, he could truck DLs. So fun to watch. I have a big well of nostalgia for the white Oilers helmet and the crappy gray facemark of the late 70's, when I used to watch those Oilers games on NBC.
When Tennessee brought out the Baby Blue Oilers throwback helmets/uni's, I just wish they'd convert back, and just run with that name and those uni's. Again - like I said with GB's 1950's uni's - so simple and classic - "What's old is new again". They were perfection.

As someone from Tennessee who only knew them as the Titans, I will say I really like the navy helmet with the sword aspects tied to the helmet and the uniform because before there was really nothing defining them as the Titans outside of their logo and their secondary logo with the sword and the circle and stars from the state flag. And yeah, I will admit going from the Oilers to the Titans was a bit of a significant jump, but it makes more sense since Nashville, where the Titans play, has a life-size replica of the Parthenon from Greece. And we really don't have many, if any at all to my knowledge, oil rigs in Tennessee than in Texas. All in all to say that of the Oilers helmets I did find the silver helmet to be cool, maybe they could include that in a later Oilers helmet update with the red facemask. It's not a part of their helmet history but it could be a cool combination.
