As someone who is related to a well-known serial killer (they will not be named for reasons.) people who do this especially women are concerning. Re Locks: I wasn't allowed to change the locks on my place until my divorce papers were final as per the lawyer since he was on the mortgage....be careful because although it is safer, you don't want to have anything come back at you (I live in Canada).

When we went full remote/work from home, we would have department meetings once every other week and our big HR meeting once a month. These large meetings sometimes had "guest speakers" from higher up the corporate chain, like a few VPs. When we were still figuring out Microsoft Teams, we had constant reminders to join meetings and immediately turn off our cameras and mute ourselves because there were just so many people jumping on. Well, one meeting, a VP was presenting, and one woman joined late. She wasn't the only late person, but she forgot to turn off her camera and mic. She was doing an Instagram OOTD video/live stream. The VP LOUDLY called out her name and said "hey, I think you should mute yourself," and she quickly logged off. We checked the employee directory a few days later and she wasn't found... Each department then implemented a rule to always have your cameras on, and for the big HR monthly meeting they figured out how to set up seminars so that only the hosts had video + mic permissions.
It wouldn't change anything but it's weird to keep it a secret. It's not like it was an affair, or they dated the mom or something, it's just a cousin that they obviously don't see very often.
Chris Watts haunts me because he showed no emotion at all over his family. The whole time. That video from the cops’ body cam where they were watching the neighbor’s security footage will forever be etched in my brain, because that was the most emotional he showed the whole time and it was only him being anxious he was being caught.
