Thanks for the channel. Northern pontoon boater here that hates dealing with the cover and also dislikes sitting on sticky vinyl. Boat docks at home, so I like to leave cover off as much as possible to make a quick evening trip easier to get going. After a visit to my sister's house, I have been intrigued by Florida saltwater boats. High dollar boats with no covers, seat cushions carried off the boat for storage rather than leaving in the sun. Just found out about the BeachCat line, pretty similar to a pontoon but has removable sunbrella fabric cushions instead of permanent installed vinyl stuff in typical pontoons I see. Are any other brands going this direction (seems like more and more have evolved away from carpet floors already so maybe they are heading my direction?) I am almost thinking of buying a Florida boat and hauling it 500 miles..
ruclips.net/video/a9E7nvXPlJw/видео.html Apparently this mfg went bad, so brand may be gone. But are there pontoons that are less padded less luxurious that might be a better choice to leave uncovered?
This boats are great, it doesnt matter they're not really fast, they where made to have fun with Friends and family, not to speed,,,there is nothing bad abouth them, they're great
@@BoatBuyersSecretWeapon I will be going out with the family 99% of the time. Very chill and relaxed, not looking to set the water on fire or nothing like that. Lol. I have 2- SeaDoo's for that!!
A Pontoon is certainly a "boat". From Merriam-Webster: "a small vessel for travel on water". Yes, Pontoons qualify as a boat. They are not a joke! You're emotionally enamored with a typical or traditional hulled boat. Learn a little about pontoons and I think you'll find room in your emotional reservoir to make pontoons an acceptable water craft for entertaining. Watch some videos of the high performance tritoons going 50 - 60 mph, doing tight turns, carrying 6 - 8 people, pulling skiers, etc... It's hard to argue with success!

Nailed the HP and size of the boat! First Rookie boat buyer mistake. ThX Captain Matt for teaching peeps!
My 24' tritoon has an 4.3 Mercruiser I/O. It will run 40 mph with a load. It is also very fuel efficient.
What is your opinion of the Bennington 21SX model? It has a Mercury 4 stroke 90 on it. The pontoons have been bottom painted. Model year 2016.
Tri-Toon setup. 22-24 ft. make sure you have a 150 outboard.
or just go to a 25ft tritoon and a 250
