    First class review, ReeWray. I have the All Powers S700 and use it daily. I also have the same 100 watt panel and it works very effectively to charge up the S700. Of all my panels, it's my favorite - lightweight and quick to set up. I really appreciate how clear and concise you are as you unfold all the details of the R600. This made it extremely easy to follow. The R600 looks like a great unit for some remote photography and RV use. I'll check out some of the other videos on your channel! Thanks again.

    Thanx for the review. Very informative.
    One thing that you could add to your testing for all generators: How does the Solar Generator handle multiple charging inputs when used together? Some units prioritize one input over another, one at a time, while others can use all inputs simultaneously for much faster charging.

    The spec that if I had to do over again I would choose this over the EB3A is that solar voltage range 12-60. Enabling using cheap used residential panels. Forgive me if I missed it but did you ever test that voltage input range? BTW on amazon I see this going for 199.00 w free delivery. Might need to pick one up if I get confirmation of working solar input.

    Be aware of the inferior quality of Allpowers: We bought a previos S700 model not even 1.5 years ago and it just died completely this month. Allpowers doesn't care at all, so we had to bring a 400+ USD device to recycling right away. No we bought an Ecoflow, hope it's better quality.

    I recently upgraded my residential gateway, which was previously connected to an APC UPS Backups Connect (CP12142LI) DC 12v 3a UPS that could provide many hours of backup power to the RG, ONT and network switch. The new RG has an internal ONT and utilizes a 120V AC that outputs through a brick reducing down to 12V 4a, so the old UPS will no longer work; especially since the LI UPS only offered a DC barrel connector.
    Would this All Powers unit work as a replacement UPS, either using the AC out, or modifying the output power plug (that plugs into the RG) with a barrel connector? Using a standard lead acid battery UPS (1000VA) is only getting me about 45 minutes of back up and I'm hoping to find a cost-effective solution that comes near the capacity of my old

    So, if it can run a full size fridge for about 2 hours. And a 100W panel can charge it in about 5 hours. Would having 3 100W panels, than can take direct sunlight for about 6 hours a day. Could a fridge run on and off to remain cold?
    Apartment so I'm limited on what I can do. My balcony does take direct sunlight for about 6 hours and can accommodate 3 panels easily. . The fridge is not that big, but it's part of the apartment so I can't replace it. And getting a smaller one would take space. And wanting to move, I don't feel like investing in batteries I won't be able to take with me. I'm looking for something on a pinch in case Aug-Sept smack us with a storm. I only need the fridge. I have solution for everything else.
    I'm gonna get a kill-a-watt to see exactly how much that fridge pull. But I figured I ask anyway to someone with experience in these kind of power station.
    My old solution was the panels, multiples batteries and a 3000 inverter. So of course the fridge ran. But the batteries died, they were like 6 years or so. And looking at batteries, they are kind of pricey where I live. This is a lot cheaper per capacity. And it's an all in one. That don't need me to hook up a lot of things. And it's small enough that I could take it with me.

    I appreciate the review. I purchased this unit as a possible backup and UPS for my home network since I work from home. During two run time tests with only a 7W load (Netgear cable modem, Nest Wifi Pro and Trendnet 5 port unmanaged switch) I was seeing around a 10% battery loss per hour. During my first test the unit shut off after approximately 9.5 hours with 5% battery left. Beyond the 3.3% no load loss, have you found your unit showing signs of excessive AC inverter loss depending on the load?

    I fear solar generators are not going to be able to help my situation, as the British Gass company is charging me 150 pounds a week just to power my mobiile phone and my tv and ps4...ive tried everything to remedy the issue with them, and am currently 3700 pounds in debt to them, and i dont even get that much working 40 hours a week plus be able to support my badic needs...have you got any advice you could give me?

But, at the time this was introduced, imo, as good as the feature set was the fan noise destroyed every incentive to buy it. Yeah, with that 60VDC input max on the XT60 connector, you could connect a 12/24/48V battery to it and charge it that way. You'd want to put an in-line 15A fuse on that positive lead to protect the cable in case something ever went haywire since those battery can easily discharge 100's of amps in a short-circuit situation.

      They are extremely similar, in terms of functionality/features. If they were the same price, I'd go with the Bluetti EB3A - since it's a bit more quiet at full output, and the mobile app is more refined, and Bluetti is a more established brand. And just checking US pricing right now, the Bluettis is actually LESS expensive. So....no-brainer.

    The big question is how it compares to the EB3A? What did you think?

    • @ReeWrayOutdoors
      @ReeWrayOutdoors  Год назад +3

      In this case, I think it really comes down to whether or not you need that little extra usable capacity (EB3A = 214Wh vs R600 = 260Wh), and whether or not you think there's value in that 5 year warranty on the R600 vs the 2 year warranty on the EB3A. Personally, both of those are things I'd pay a little more for. The other thing that might be important to you is "how well established are the 2 brands, comparatively". Clearly, Bluetti is the more established brand, where Allpowers is more of an 'up and comer'. So, if you forced me to decide between these 2 models, I'd probably opt for the R600 primarily for the extra capacity. Aside from the things I mentioned, both units are pretty much a perfect match-up.
