thai and ph have two opposing beauty standards. thais are more korean-type while ph are more western (very unasian look tbh). when it comes to women, i’ll go with philippines, when it comes to men, i’ll prefer thais.

I’m from thailand I want to tell you the first person she isn’t thai, she is British but she lived in thailand since she was 12 years ago.
Keep learning to write in English and you'll be good over a period of time.
Both are beautiful but if I have to pick I'd choose the Phillipines as being more beautiful overall. They have more mixed people with western features and that is objectively more beautiful than people who look more Asian if we're being honest.
Celebs look mixed because they are biracial. Local filippinos are far from looking like thar wtf with your comment😭

The Philippines have been colonized for so many years and many guys of Spanish, Spaniard, and American descent have made so many mixed children with Filipino women. Those children also went on to have children of their own. Those people give the Philippines a slight advantage over Thailand. I'm not saying Thai people aren't pretty because they are absolutely gorgeous in my opinion, but if we have to choose Philippines would be my choice because of the higher number of mixed people. If we compare the native Filipinos and the general population of Thailand, you get very similar physical traits between the two so you have to look at what is different.

@@sianmoltie8979 I know that. It's just when you're comparing the beauty of Philippines vs Thailand, they are very similar when it comes to the people you are specifically referring to. In order to differentiate it, you look at what is different or which aspects gives either country an advantage if you can only pick one. The Philippines in general have a longer history of mixed ancestry and those features are generally what people around the world prefer so I believe that tilts it in the favor of the Philippines over Thailand.
Still it doesn't really matter in the context of this specific video because they are discussing female celebrities instead of what most people in their respective countries look like so you're choosing the best of the best when it comes to appearance.

My opinion Thailand and the Philippines have different characteristics.
- Filipinos have a combination of western or Latino faces. If the original Filipino They will have faces that resemble islanders or Malays. mostly tanned skin
- Thai people are similar to southern Chinese. Only southern Thai are similar to Malays.
Why comparing two countries about beauty? They're all beautiful in their own way. It could cause some issues maybe.

The different between the two is that, thailand has a white skin while phillippines has a moreno(brown) skin. And I found out that they are favored to thailand because of their skin.
I have the same skin as you guys, white, yellow, brown with reddish black, but we're from upper Asia.

lol. Filipinos aren't Latin. The percentage of those with Spanish blood is so low that it's an ABSOLUTE myth and a result of colonial insecurity. The naming part is a result of Christianization and not because of blood mixing.

The typical giveaway are specific mannerisms, dressing style and when they start speaking because the accent is very clear. Here's a test for you since you must know a lot of Thais and Filipinos to be able to say what you claim. Gather all of them and make them dress identically. No make up. Don't let them talk or move... zero expression. Have them stand in a line and have people place them as Thai or Filipino. I can guarantee you that NO ONE WILL BE ABLE TO PLACE THEM ALL IN THE RIGHT GROUP. lol... latin. BS.

We're not hispanic... that's a common Filipino delusion based on historical self hate disguised as wanting to be separate from Asia. The result of colonial thinking. You can look up the origins of Filipino self hate where all of this want to be Spanish stuff originated. Basically, it was the result of a class war. The Spanish in Philippines were regarded as "better" than that indios... or tagalog natives. The Spanish had the power, the money, and because of their influence... they dictated western looks as the prefered beauty. Fast forward hundreds of years later... Filipinos adapted that way of thinking believing that to be Spanish or close to it is "making it in society". It became a class distinction. So some even began to pretend that their Christian names is a sign of Spanish blood when everyone regardless of blood were given Christian names.
