Most owners rarely sell, unless of course they want to update, in which case you spend even more and never get your money back! The actual question as to whether or not a Rolex is worth the money is subjective. To really answer the question, you have to compare what you get for your money when comparing watches of different values but have very similar build quality and reliability.
yes, i thought it is only the name but now i know it is precision and art. They sell it for 10000 and make it for 4000 without the brend it worth 6000 but with "rolex " and history they worth 10000$
I really think anything that automatic or winding is useless you buy a watch to tell time. With Rolex and other brand your buying jewelry not a time accurate watch like casio and smart watches. Is it worth the money no because it’s not accurate and a brand name “jewelry”.
It’s proven Rolex is worth and gain value over time. But not all Rolex models gain its value. As for me, I own a SS sub. I don’t care whether it gain its value or not. There’s always a risk in every investment. Who knows one fine day Hans Waldorf organization suddenly declare they’re selling off Rolex at a cheap price tag? Or maybe some scandals that hit Rolex image dame hard? Well anything could happen in this world. That will not make me cry over spilled milk because it’s the timepiece I had that is meaningful and valuable to me.

I just started out collecting watches so please bare with me here and please could you give your opinions on my collection which is : 1) GMT MASTER 2 ( 116710LN ) 2) Datejust 36mm, Steel with white gold bezel ( 116234 ) 3) Explorer 1 ( 214270 ) 4) Omega 300 meter water resistant Co Axial ( the one we first saw Pierce Brosnan wearing in ” Golden Eye “ ) 5) Nomos Glashutte Orion 38mm I actually wanted to balance the collection and would be really happy if you could give me your feedback regarding the collection like what is missing or is too much etc... Yes I think you’re right about the Omega Seamasyer 41mm Co Axial Chronometer as well! I would get the Sub without blinking an eye! But isn’t the Seamaster like an icon in itself? The waiting period is also really long . Perhaps around 8 months according to the local dealer! Thanks a lot though for the advice! Tc.
