James Madison still doing fine without Cignetti. So is it coaching or just the Sun Belt is a weak conference. JM lost to UL Monroe who lost to Texas 51-3. Indiana has 9 players transferred from JM who lost to Air Force.
Losing our center is HUGE!!! Seth audibled at the line to..its a massive loss...but i think we have more firepower..close game but we win at home...O-H!
Definitely have more firepower than IU no doubt about that. I also think there’s a lot more pressure on OSU which could play to the Hoosiers favor. Hope IU can keep it competitive. Go Hoosiers!
The advantage IU has is DENZEL BURKE for osu! He is terrible. He can't cover, he can barely tackle. He is a HOT MESS. Watch him get burned a handful of times against IU. And Igbinosum, jersey #1, watch him get 1-2 pass interference calls in this game. I think osu will be okay at the O line. But the secondary for osu is pretty bad. EVEN NORTHWESTERN picked on Burke lol.
OSUs center from last season is stepping back into center ... Not gonna be as bad as some of you think.... Then the buckeye defense is gonna shut down Indy offense
Joel Katt is trying to feed everyone a narrative that is a tad disingenuous imo. Sure losing our starting center hurts but we do have a back up whos started 12 games last year as a true freshman who also won awards by our strength coach twice since then. Carson Hinzman was also rated higher than Seth out of high-school and before the Penn St game he was repping at back up center all season long. Carson is ready he was just super green last year because duh, he was a true freshman. Austin Siereveld will be serviceable at LG because he got reps there when Donovan Jackson was out for a hamstring earlier this season. Lets not forget that Indianas RG is out for the season due to injury right before the mich game and his replacement is not the same caliber and they have to see our defense as well. Its Nov every team has injuries and has to shuffle roster depth to make due
You know back in the day there wasn't all this media coverage it doesn't matter what anybody says or does the game is always played on Saturday and they're always wrong anyways
yet you ignorantly don't mention IU's O line losses, last week before Mich, LG Evans and their All American candidate Kidwell in late August before the 1st game!
cignetti has said a couple times that iu's kicker only has range to 45 yards. that's terrible for this level. on the other hand i don't believe he has missed a kick this season
It depends on how bad they lose to Ohio state…. If they get beat by 2-3 scores, then they could miss the playoffs. I mean…. It’s possible…if it’s a close loss then I don’t see Indiana dropping that far.
A lot of these pundits don't cut Oregon any slack for struggling the first two games of the season while struggling with multiple olinemen injuries. Funny how that narrative changes with OSU having the same problems.
Shouldn’t be MONUMENTAL => Hinzman started every regular season game at Center last year……has matured…..has started at LG the past few games => so I’ll ask, how’s it monumental ? Hinzman has started a year and a half worth of games that we won every game expect to the National Champions at their house…..in a game that game down to the last play……. Stop the excuses !!!
indiana has two starting offensive linemen out for the season too. their best lineman went down just before opening day and another a few weeks ago so boo hoo for an ohio st
Granted I'm a huge IU homer, but Ohio State makes me think of a Moneyball quote. "If hes a good hitter then why doesnt he hit good". If all their guys are so explosive then why don't they explode? 21 on Nebraska, 20 Penn State, 7-0 at half vs Iowa. Their fans said they went easy on Purdue, NW, etc. I can see that, but personally im not confident in a team that turns it on/off. IU plays hard for 60 minutes
Are you seriously asking or trying to sneak diss? You "exploded" against who exactly? And how did all that "exploding" help you against the only real defense you played all season or Maryland that threw for 297 on you. 18 yards in the 2nd Half! Did you guys turn it off? If cheatigan had ANY offense, you would have lost that game. OSU has the No.1 Defense. Balance Offense. They are learning to play bully ball bud. Like Georgia, Like Bama, Like someone who knows how to win the "Ship. Tossing it around the yard ain't gone, it's in hypernation. 32 plus 1 equals 100 yards. Oh yeah, say hello to Jeremiah too. You are new to this. If you continue to be good for years and decades teams will play you differently. Right now you are not getting “Super Bowl prep” every game. Indiana is coming off a bye week with a good coach. This game will not be easy for Ohio State…but it will be what they are used to playing every game.

It's almost like Joel forgot that hinzman was the starting center for last season that led them to a 11-1 regular season. I don't think it's that big of a loss considering who's in the wings.
