Great video! I am really glad that there is someone else out there that appreciates this game. I was blown away by the gameplay from the first second I saw the trailer years ago when it came out and begged my dad to get it for me. The game can be tough but once you learn the mechanics and the swinging there is all sorts of cool moves you can pull off. Sure this game has flaws like the radiation not being implemented very well and I don't care much for the story but man the gameplay is so addicting and satisfying.
0:32 Ah yes, "The Gauntlet". Literally the single best piece of music from any video game soundtrack ever! Makes you feel like you're living inside an epic action movie. Surf Wisely.
finally SOMEONE else who appreciates how unique and awesome this game was. I feel like an insane person having loved this game all these years. blew me away at the time. replayed it a couple months ago and still loved it! the multiplayer was incredible too
i'd love it if they made an open world bionic commando game where you can explore and swing around with your arm like spiderman. spiderman's cool but this dude has the arm + all kinds of weapons, badass as hell. for everyone that thinks they were the only ones that liked this game: I HAD A BLAST PLAYING THAT GAME TOO
Around when this game came out I was still that impressionable guy that wouldn’t play a game based on what most other people thought of it. Now that I’m older(middle aged) I’ve found that I keep succeeding in life and getting better results by following my own desires and interests. I’ve adopted this new mentality toward gaming. Now I play what interests me regardless of reviews. For one if I buy game and it turns out to not be good then it doesn’t set me back financially like It did when I was younger. The original Bionic Commando on NES was one of my favorite games of all time and I’ve been wanting the series to be brought back for over 30 years. I guess you could say I got tired of waiting so I decided to go ahead and buy this combo with Rearmed and BC 2009 on Steam. I’m finding that they are both great and would have been suitable continuations for the series if I had just not let myself be influenced into not playing it by other people. Oh, and another reason I never played it was because of the new look of Nathan Spencer. Who was this guy with the dreads? So now you can play with a retro skin that brings back his original appearance. Either way, the game is not bad at all and is one of the better action games that I’ve played in while even playing it in 2021.
The final nail in the coffin was a cancelled spin off of Final Fantasy; Grin was developing that game, but Square decided to cancel the game and Grin received 0 money or royalties, so they run out of resources.
I platinumed this fucking game! The worst part was doing all the challenges and collecting all the objects. The worst is the objects, you miss *ONE* just *ONE!* Then you must redo ALL OF THE GAME! Infiuriatingly stupid, but I ended up getting al of em anyways.
It was too japanese in a time when American games were becoming better. I still remember people complaining about the "wife" story. Hasn't anyone watch Evangelion? One of the best Japanese anime (Where is Shinji's mom?)
Was gonna watch the whole video cause I liked this game but the interlude where you decide to throw random shade at other creators was a bit cringe and came from a place of pure tribal ignorance

Great video. Thanks for showing how awesome this game really is, even with it's flaws, great action and cool characters.
Grin didn't close just because this game.
Yeah I remember they release Wanted Weapons of Fate and a Terminator game close together
