I love these small aircraft. The bumble bee looks a bit unstable, but the others look really stable and good platforms for the average pilot, at least those who've studied all the details of the various aircraft!
The trouble with making music such a prominent part of a video like this is that, while most people who click on this video are going to find the subject interesting, their taste in music is going to vary widely. I, for one, find the music intrusive and annoying. It is not overstating the case to say that I hate it. Consequently, I will not be clicking on any of your other videos, which is too bad, because I was interested in the subject matter, but have no wish to subject myself to music I find distasteful. Now, all the geniuses out there will no doubt mention the mute button, but I don't care for silent movies, either. I like aircraft, including the sounds they make. Now, you can do as you like, it's your video after all. Just my 2 cents worth.
I had a Bensen Gyro Copter in the 70's. It was fun and thrilling. Our neighbors knew we crazy, towing it with a rope to get it up on the dirt road we lived on. Then, a friend and I converted it into a powered copter, like what you've shown, with a MAC 101c motor. Long story made short, we got too brave, and crashed it into a lake. Totaled it, but man did we have fun and a lifetime of memories. About 7 years later, I earned my Private Pilot's license, and many more years of fun and great memories, I've always used my log book as a diary, of sorts, and it's filled full of 'em. One of the greatest things about being American, is that we can do these things, without great expense and prohibitive regulations. Peace.
Thank you for your comment cynic24/7. ME TOO. You know when you about to land, when it feels like your bum is about to touch runway. Wonder if you can log Twin turbine hours?
The shown 'maximum range' for the Bede BD-5 is WAY higher than reality. In actual fact, without using an external tank, the jet can only go about 170 mi, or 300 mi WITH the external tank. It's also being flown by pilot Justin Lewis as the FLS Microjet
The specs given appear to be for the original BD-5 with a 70hp 2- stroke piston engine and a pusher prop, rather than any jet version of the aircraft. Given the BD-5J's dismal safety record, I'm kind of surprised anyone would want the FLS Microjet. As far as the range figure given, I'm a bit skeptical even for the piston version. Plus, even if there was enough fuel, the reduction drive might fail first. There was a lot of trouble with it. Fun to see these nutty little machines, though.
Wow, the music was just great!! Where can I download it? Are those planes more efficient? What's the point otherwise? Can't you just fly Boeing if you need to get from A to B?
All of these airplanes are either out of production or you can no longer get the plans so if you want to build one of these you can't. Try finding an aircraft still in production or you can get plans.
Thank you for your comment Magnar. Sometimes the videos I use already has music, so i have to add my own. I now try to get videos with more aircraft sounds and add them. Watch some of my newer stuff.
I think the Cri Cri is the smallest twin engine plane. I think the jet version is also the smallest twin jet plane. It is green when they use electric motors. It seems to be a versatile little plane. I wonder how it would work with a fuel cell? There are some really small fuel cells. I wonder if it would work with the Liquid Piston engine? The Liquid Piston engine can run on a variety of fuels.
8:14 Starr Bumble Bee II "Unfortunately on the day of its first flight, after making several passes at a height of about 400 ft., the aircraft's engine quit. The plane was completely destroyed in the resulting crash. Starr, the pilot, was seriously injured, but eventually fully recovered from his injuries." www.aviationtrivia.org/Starr-Bumble-Bee-II.php
The little plane with the 2 nose mounted single piston engines. Will it maintain flight with just one of the little engines running? As for the seated mounted helicopter. That appears to be a death trap.
The problem with aviation videos is that the music is either synthesized crap or the absolutely dreadful Danger Zone. Bag the music and let the aircraft provide the soundtrack.
Thank you for your comment Don. The answer, I think, is: Because he can. He is used to flying fast fighter aircraft, so he must be used to the glass cockpit and not steam gauges.
Hi sanjeet gill. These where what I got from my research. If I missed anything I apologise. BUT, that is what makes the comments so great. You can tell me if I made a mistake. Thank you for your comment!
Do you people who make these videos ever preplay to make sure that it will be enjoyable for the average person to watch.? For God's sake, turn the added on socalled music way-way down so that commentary can be heard. And why is that electronic music being used as background by so many people who do not seem to care about the sound levels or if it is even needed??
Thank you for your comment Ronald. I do. I'm an amateur just playing around. I Use royalty free music from RUclips. Most is electronic. I am learning as I go, the will improve...........I hope.
I am pilot, I would have liked to ear the sound of the engines. This kind of music is not compatible with this kind of videos. I am hardly watching them anymore, like others...
Thank you for the comment CétoGénèse. I try to put in the engine sound when the video has them. I'm a pilot too! How you you know a pilot is in the room?.......He'll tell you.
yeah engine sounds and commentary over powered my the music. could have been a great video. I don't understand why understand why people add music to these videos. he could have 2 million views if it wasn't for the music!!!

This was interesting but you couldn't hear anything anyone said because the music was louder then the voices.
I hope there wasn't any commentary, I had to kill the sound.
Hi 306 Champion. Thank you for your comment. Mostly music, with here and there a bit of commentary and sound from engines and pilots.

butlerproman 30 seconds in and I stopped watching.

Great story Wesley. The love of flying is one that runs deep. Once she gets hold of you, she never lets go. Thank you for the comment
Music NOT needed!
Thank you for our comment
You should have dropped the music! That Bumble Bee must have skitsy handling!
Thank you for our comment
coool
The Engine sound is much better than this horrible noise in the background!
These are to civil aviation what Smart Cars are to automobiles. Neat!
That is true! Thank you for the comment Charles
Please load it again with the audio cut back when the's commentary.
Why the crappy music?
Couldn't you focus on delivering as much of the real experience as possible - including original sound?
This list needed the SD-1 MiniSport :)
Thank you for your comment Keith. I had to Google what that was. Damn, I should have put it in.
Still looking for the guy with the RC controller on some of these machines......lol. This is scary but awesome!!
Thank you for the funny comment Kelvin
Have you uploaded it without the - music?
Fantastic...
Thank you for the comment tahir
THE SOUND! WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?
The last plane, Bumble bee II scared me. it looks like a bomb
Did look a tad unstable at takeoff.
so nice..
from bangladesh..
for the bensen b-8 you wrote maximum speed 55 mph (137 km/h) but 1 mile = 1.6 km so that means that it should be only 88 km/h
The cri cri is my favourite, i'd love a go in that.
Thank you for your comment cynic24/7. ME TOO. You know when you about to land, when it feels like your bum is about to touch runway. Wonder if you can log Twin turbine hours?
The Cri-Cri also comes in an electric version too. I think the jet version is the smallest twin jet engine plane.
The Cri Cri and the BD-5 are my favorite

Love this plane. Where did you get those engines/ who is the maker? grate plane.
Wow, the music was just great!! Where can I download it? Are those planes more efficient? What's the point otherwise? Can't you just fly Boeing if you need to get from A to B?
Thank you for our comment Andriy. It was royalty free music I found on RUclips. Yes. Evolution. Yes you can, but how fun is that?
All of these airplanes are either out of production or you can no longer get the plans so if you want to build one of these you can't. Try finding an aircraft still in production or you can get plans.
What is the second song name? I would love to know.
music to loud and a bit annoying.
Thank you for your comment B Buse. I'll hone my skills and try to make it less loud next time.
+Judy Robus Otherwise good vid ☺
maybe next time just turn the volume down?
Sometimes I'm moore grumpyer than usual 😉
Won't let us hear the aircraft!
The music is annoying. When I see aircraft, I want to hear them as well.
Thank you for your comment Magnar. Sometimes the videos I use already has music, so i have to add my own. I now try to get videos with more aircraft sounds and add them. Watch some of my newer stuff.
I have watched many videos like this and I always worry about the close proximity of high voltage power lines in shot.
Please stay safe.

whats the glide ratio on the bumble bee ? lol
There is another small aircraft from Mr. colomban (Cri-Cri), the Luciole. 92 kg empty weight.
Thank you for your comment Eric.

The little plane with the 2 nose mounted single piston engines. Will it maintain flight with just one of the little engines running? As for the seated mounted helicopter. That appears to be a death trap.
The plane at 9:11 is not the Bumble Bee II ;)
That´s the fist version (Bumble Bee)
Hi The Trigger. Thank you for your comment. OH SNAP, looks like I made a mistake. My bad. Thank you for rectifying me.
You forgot the "Verhees Delta". Look it up here on youtube.
Thank you for your comment Marco. That is a weird looking aircraft.....but interesting.
Next time you do a video. KILL THE MUSIC!!!!
Thank you for our comment
Bad ass !
there is also a hayabusa version coming soon !
Thank you for our comment
Would love to hear the sound of these small craft instead of the crap-tastic music.
Thank you for your comment Gunther. Sorry about the music. I'll do better next time.
im planing on building something as well
Thank you for your comment olluman123. If you do, send me some pics please!

Thank you for your comment munny0051.
How much is it cust ?
Music way too loud. A well deserved thumbs down.
Thank you for our comment Major Tom
I can barely hear what the guy said toward the end about the smallest airplane.
Lawn mower on a stick, wow...
Thank you for the funny comment Mike
It's 4500 ft per minute on the Bee II? I don't think so... It is 23 m per second!!!
Thank you for your comment Charles. Soooooo.....4500ft/min
the info is correct, en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Starr_Bumble_Bee_II
I rather enjoyed the music. But then too I am almost deaf from gunfire in the military.
Thank you for your comment Bill. HA HA HA HA HA
4:38 The jetsons
Thank you for your comment Jefferson
Turbine engine looks like a flux capacitor
Thank you for the comment gord
The problem with aviation videos is that the music is either synthesized crap or the absolutely dreadful Danger Zone. Bag the music and let the aircraft provide the soundtrack.
Why does the BD-5 have to have all that fancy avionics? Fly it by hydraulics and minimum gauges. Why make it so unnecessarily complicated?
Thank you for your comment Don. The answer, I think, is: Because he can. He is used to flying fast fighter aircraft, so he must be used to the glass cockpit and not steam gauges.
It seems it is the BD-5j which is the jet engine version. The BD-5 is a gas engine / propeller version.
Yeah, soooo.....was I supposed to be able to learn something? Difficult to hear all the important info. That really sucks.
Should have put in a Hummelbird.
The first Flighter,55 miles is not 135 km its about 93 well researched and controlled,IQ 34`s...
Thank you for your comment Fatso.
well the russians had build an x 14 but why its not shown here?

Don't ser the twin electric motor módem, put this.
Thank you for your comment Juan.
sound track sucks
why oh why spoil a good vid with awful music. It would be better to just hear the sound of the engines and what the people were saying about them.
Thank you for the comment, I'll keep it in mind.
Apart from the music it was a good vid. Or you could put the music further into the background.

Insecurity,
I hate music on aircraft vids!!! Screw subscribing!!!!
Thank you for your comment Bay Town Media Bay Town Media. No need to subscribe. As long as you just enjoyed some of the aircraft in the vid. I heard the mute button can also do the trick.
When are people going to learn NOT to use crappy music?
Thank you for the comment Jeff. Some like it, some don't.
Bart Lutan?
Stupid sound! 👎
Get rid of the damned music.
Thank you for your comment Mark. Most people like it. Try turning the volume down.
Why such fucked up music????
