Games like this demonstrate how well yall build your decks together; there are some games where someone runs away with it, but most are close games with a lot of "whose gonna pull it off". Great work!
I used to love playing my old Mogis, God of Slaughter deck and killing the whole table simultaneously with Heartless Hidetsugu and a universal damage doubler. Great game! A draw is always a good laugh
Nice game! Draws are fun. I've played only one game that ended in a draw, my buddy killed us all with Heartless Hidetsugu + City on fire in play, cause he was dead either way so he decided to just draw😂
I feel like my pod gets a draw game from Descent into Avernus at least once every couple of months, we also have probably 5-6 decks with copies in them. Everyone likes the treasures too much to deal with it.
*****SPOILERS***** I love that this ended in a draw. I accidentally caused a draw when going for an exquisite blood combo in my old Myrkul deck. Completely forgot about a Phyrexian Unlife to my left 😅
One of my first games of Commander was at an event at GenCon. I brought heartless, played double damage spell, booted up my newly player commander on a tapped out board, win the pod turn 4-5. You got more points the more people ypu know out. I killed everyone in one punch. One of the most gratiffying games of my life.
I have been in games that ends in a draw a lot of times.... im the guilty of that, playing ashling the pilgrim :D qnd with descent into avernus now too, like half of the games with ashling finish in draws xD
Is anyone else weirdly bothered by players like Ethan and Jason tapping their permanents to the left when the tap symbol always points to the right? Or is it just me? It's probably just me... heh.
@SmoothBrainEDH When I first learned "kitchen table magic" from a friend at a late-night coffee shop, I picked up this habit of putting my lands vertically along the right side of the play area. Fast forward 20-ish years and it bothered the life out of my playgroup at my lgs.
701.21a To tap a permanent, turn it sideways from an upright position. Only untapped permanents can be tapped. The rules don't state in which direction should the permanents be tapped. So calm down.
@@Zaalbarjedi I am calm. I'm not implying anyone broke any rules. I'm just commenting on my own OCD issues with the visual representation and having some fun with SBEDH here (who clearly understood the context).
I love descent into avernus, absolutely goated, keeps the game clock ticking down

That opening hand for Niv-Mizzet is insane!!!
Tie is crazy. Happened twice with my abysmal persecutor in mh jon irenicus deck
I think Caden could have sacrificed the dragon and dug for 3 cards at least. Maybe find a way to sac his commander to win?

Proud to be part of the 30%🫡
Can’t believe nobody wants to build Cynette for the ultimate powerhouse known as Jellyfish Tribal…
That was an amazing ending, happy Jason did go for it, yet more so he wasn't able to get there and the draw happens.

Oh so the new Kellan's like Frodo but hits in a MTG mono red kind of way. That's cool
Banger
Descent into Avernus always makes for more fun, faster games! If I'm short on time, I like to bring out a deck with that in the list
Only game I’ve played that ended in a draw was when my buddy flipped Marauding Raptor and Polyraptor off the top 7 to his Gishath trigger
history in the making

Nope
Unluckily Ethan didn’t have two instants cause he could have won during his upkeep :(
