Ganzo is dominating the budget knifemarket and I love what they're bringing out, always putting out new stuff and for what they are you can't get anything better! Well heat treated 440c, fit 'n finish is basically perfect, especially for the price, solid knives, and overall nice designs! Perfect birthday present even for non knifepeople!
I just got mine in the mail today. I'm pretty impressed. I bought it on Amazon for $24.95 shipped. Thanks for the video/suggestion. I may get a few of their other auto offerings.
Really enjoy this knife, my brother bought one for each of us and we have been nothing but impressed with its performance.. Thanks for the great review, always enjoy watching your videos keep up the good work!!
I have this knife in black, I was also kinda on the edge with such a cheap price on this knife, I AM BLOWN AWAY with this knife, I absolutely love this knife, the fit, finish, snap, centering, play, lock, ect. I mean everything on this $20 knife is fantastic, including the blade edge, I use it on a daily basis and that 440c is great. Holds an edge and haven't had any issues with it. Definitely recommend this one you won't be disappointed!
LOL. I was playing with my G7211-GR when i saw this video. I have black one and couple of 7361s. I won 5 of these Ganzo switch blades. All very good quality, and 440c is good enough for my use. Thanks for introducing Ganzo blades. Sanrenmu and Ganzo are excellent value knives.
*Very* similar to the Ganzo G7362-GR which I recently reviewed - but as I run both this video and that video against each other, I am noticing the differences. Nicely done!
just a tip for you Jeff, you can carry in the corner of your back pocket and it will get stopped be the seam, plus, it frees room in your front pocket.
Just got my first ganzo today, gonna film tomorrow. Love ganzo! Such high quality for the price! I always saw videos on ganzos and now I get the hype. These things could pass for a much, MUCH more expensive knife to someone not in the knife scene. Have a good one brother
I have a ganzo looks a little different but is basically the same thing. after a few months the spring broke I got a new knife because I love the thing. I also got a CRKT fossil (mini) which has a ball-bearing system to open fast with little to no wear both great knifes.
I love my G7211, you're not going to find a better knife. EDC for the last year and a half, and I use my knife at least twice a day. I purchased a second w/black handle and my first is just as tight as the new one. A few strokes on the steel keeps it shaving sharp.
while automatic knives are illegal, I find if you're not playing with em in a bad location i.e the post office (that was a one time thing) you more than likely wont be hassled
Nevada not does not restrict auto knives. However there is no state preemption, so you have to worry about local laws from cities and counties, which is remarkably stupid.
Being an owner and carrier of this knife I suggest you carry it in your left pocket with a lanyard of some sort to pull it out with. You could get cut bad if it deployed accidentally in your right pocket. The chances are less in your left. The fact that you have to pinch it by the clip and the fact that the clip hangs up on the lip of your pocket causing you to grab lower on the knife to retrieve it greatly increases the chance of you deploying the knife before you have cleared your pocket. Believe me I know. Been there done that.
It's a great knife, I own the black one. The only problem is that the coil spring will eventually break then it becomes harder to open. But it gets really sharp, holds an edge for a while and the edge is thin enough which is a problem with some Ganzo knives. I got mine for $25 shipped on Amazon (they are now $20)
I have ordered stuff from them six different times and every time it takes 3 to 4 weeks. Check if they still have free shipping. If they don't, it's just better to order it from Amazon.
I got the 7472 automatic for $20 and I'm very happy with it. I also got a 7533 that's a piece of crap. Their axis lock is very stiff. I attempted to disassemble the knife and one of the scale screws just turns and won't come out. And the studs for the axis lock are too recessed. I emailed Ganzo and they haven't gotten back to me so I'm kind of sour on them. I'd certainly never buy one of their knives with their pos axis lock again. Benchmade knows how to do an axis lock...Ganzo...not so much.
I'm planning to get a new Spyderco knife. Should I get the Delica 4 or the PM2? I know the price difference is huge but if the price was the same which one is better.
Yes I have this knife and must say it's worth the $30. I only have to problems. One the weight. For such a small knife it's a little heavy. Two the lanyard hole is inside your pocket during carry. Came very sharp however.
Just bought this knife for 35 bucks last week lol. Went to Columbus Ohio for a yearly farm and science review show to look at some skid steer attachments, specifically a nice brush hog that I got and seen a knife stand there and checked this one out and like it so I got it bc it was cheap. After a week though of carrying and using I love it. It performs well. I prob paid a lil bit over for it but I'm ok with that. This is my cheapest knife by far and I like more than some of my 100 dollar plus knives.
I have two of these. The G711-BK & G712-BK and I love them both and they are great knives for the money but I disagree with you on the non-safety part with tip down. If It would open in your pocket(which it won't) I'd rather have the point facing down than up because you won't poke your finger if you didn't know it opened. Also did you see the G736? I like the design more but mine has had some quality problems and isn't as good as the others two.
These can be ordered through FastTech....$17.92 includes USPS First Class shipping once it reaches the US. These are shipping out of Hong Kong so it still might take a few weeks to get to you. Search for Ganzo on their website, they carry Ganzo's entire line of knives. I ordered three of these. As Jeff says, excellent quality for the price. For the money I was impressed.
I have Ganzo's G707 stiletto assisted. The plunger doesn't even engage because the assist is so weak. Too bad because it is a pretty knife. I wonder which knife the G7211-GR is a clone of? Edit: I think it is a Protech copy, maybe the Godfather.
Hey Jeff, I ordered this knife but i have a question, is it uncomfortable to push it in or hard? or is it still comfortable to push. Keep up the good work, A cutlery lover from the netherlands.
I disagree with you on the pocket clip orientation. I used to love my Sog zoom. But one day it opened in my pocket and I did not feel it. I reached in to grab my keys and sliced the hell out of my finger because it was "tip up". I never carried that knife again. Buy this one I don't see that being a problem. Granted it had a safety and I could have used that but I had never had that problem before that day.
your other video on the ganzo knife. just a few thoughts on "cheap" knifes I get the Wal-Mart branded $4.10 that's with tax here in ca. I get them all the time because I mostly give them away to people who cant afford something to carry for basic protection or are scared of firearms. cheap knifes are great they work for edc. these ganzo knifes are more expensive in the area of cheap Chinese knife they also seem to be worse in some cases. blade wobble & junk safety.another cheap knife that is spring assisted are "precision point" from big5 they run about 10.00 and are comparable to low end Kershaw's. the thing about these are most people want a edc tool for basic tasks. ex: opening items or a "get off me knife" so I think if it hold up to everyday carry, holds a ok edge & doesn't fall apart after a month. its a good buy. take a look at the precision point knifes they are on of the best 10.00 knifes on the market & are razor sharp.note: auto knifes are in most places legal to have but not carry. like here in ca. can carry only 2'' auto's which is bs.
I don't think removing the spring would work.. it wouldn't have any spring to push it up to the frame, to a point where you could press it or even to the point where it isn't automatically depressed in that position .. ?
Got mine at Gearbest for $14. It is great as you say. The model # of mine is actually G7212-GR instead of G7211-GR. Looks identical though. I've been on a Ganzo binge lately and have bought several that are extremely impressive for the price similar to this one.
I like your channel much more than that Skelton guy. The Skelton guy, and I'm not trying to start anything, I feel is just too uppity for me. Thanks for keeping it simple. I appreciate that. Also subscribed to your channel for that reason.
i got this a while ago, it broke day 1 and fastech wouldnt replace it. i now have the pivot screwed as tight as it can go to fix it in place and i just keep it on my desk in its box for a letter opener
i like this knife a lot but the 719 works better for me since tip up carry. i like EVERYTHING else about the 721 over the 719. if you could make the 721 tip up it would be even more amazing than it already is
+Jose Franco How long did GearBest take to receive the order if you can share please? Its unclear how reliable they are, I know the prices are good, but not sure if the risk is worth it over paying a little more on Amazon, just curious about your experience. Thanks.
I got my Ganzo G-712 (Benchmade Bedlam 860 semi-copy) Last year. I love it. STAY AWAY FROM GEARBEST, though the G-712 is out of stock there last time I checked. GEARBEST SUCKS. Love your channel, Jeff.
+polonose 00 I tried ordering another knife from them, I waited 50 days, and it never showed up. Refunded through paypal because they refused to "send another one"
I got it for 17 bucks on fast twch something like that came from china and took like two weeks to get to me but damn it works good it nice and slim i can carry it with a pen and flashlight with no problem in one pocket the safety would help i did end up cutting my hand once cause i had my phone in my pocket and it pressed the button but i still almost always use it even more then my kershaw cryo
Great video as usual. Jeff, I have a question for you relating balisongs, I know it has nothing to do with this video, but it's a legitimate question I have for you. So I just recently got into them and have sustained an awful lot of cuts (my guess is about ten of them). I was wondering, how often or how much do you get cut with balisongs? Thanks. :)
Why the metal bolsters though? Do they serve any functional purpose? I have been hunting for a full G10 grip auto for a while now. Though there are some, definitely not the majority. Considering the ease of manufacturing G10 scales with steel liners nowadays, this really baffles me.
+cutlerylover Thanks, that makes sense now. I still hope someday Ganzo can make this model with full G10 grips. BTW, how is the lockup/blade play on this one? I have an old G707, the blade play is pretty small, good enough for its price.
Thanks, that's just what I was looking for. Even with the helpful interpretations they offer it's still not exactly simple. But definitely better than legalese.
If you understood metallurgy you would know the weight of a blade dose indicate its quality, and heavier is generally better. Blades can be made lighter and of high quality--I am not aware of any knife maker doing this.

I got one last week with black scales on it and i'm really impressed with the quality construction. The edge is amazing out of the box.Good video!
I've carried this knife every day for 8 months now. great knife. never even been close to having it accidentally open in the pocket.
I just got mine in the mail today. I'm pretty impressed. I bought it on Amazon for $24.95 shipped. Thanks for the video/suggestion. I may get a few of their other auto offerings.
Of all of my knives this is still one of my favorites. Great knife for the money.
Really enjoy this knife, my brother bought one for each of us and we have been nothing but impressed with its performance.. Thanks for the great review, always enjoy watching your videos keep up the good work!!
Also, I was looking at these and thinking purchasing one, but thanks to your review, I now have a final verdict! Thank you.

I have had nothing but good luck with Ganzo knives. I have 3, and I really love them :)
Thank-you Jeff. Another quality video. I will be purchasing this one.

clip is correct, if it opens, you be able to get it out, your way, blade open will not let you get it out of your pocket w/o cutting into the pocket!
I just bought a green one! Thanks for showing it.

Hey Jeff, you wouldn't happen to know if people can carry neck knifes or pocket knifes in Pennsylvania, PA? Just curious...
Have handled a couple of this model. A very nice knife. I was told by the owner that he paid just over $21 US for it a few months ago.

+gone rydin Gearbest doesn't seem to have it in stock anymore.
PDXbikeman fasttech.com and Amazon have them. fasttech is cheaper and has both G7212 and G7211 models. Amazon is of course faster shipping.
These recently became legal. I was looking for a cheap one. Thanks for the vid!

Really awesome looking knife, I'll have to pick one up.

i got this a while ago, it broke day 1 and fastech wouldnt replace it. i now have the pivot screwed as tight as it can go to fix it in place and i just keep it on my desk in its box for a letter opener
Ganzo has a few different autos and they are all excellent.
ITS fun to wear out and break?
sad, now we cant even skip the ad. knife is awesome bro.
you twisted my arm, couldn't even finish the video before I ordered one.....
Wait'll you see the G747!
i like this knife a lot but the 719 works better for me since tip up carry. i like EVERYTHING else about the 721 over the 719. if you could make the 721 tip up it would be even more amazing than it already is
Used to be on my list for a short period of time.
Maybe they will take the hint and make it tip up . Nice clean review.
What's the difference between this and the g7212?
I can't EDC this in my speedo. Damn it, is getting summer quick!!!!
Great video. I love switch blades. Great for collection
You can get this knife from Gearbest for $17.57. When I bought it two months ago, it was free shipping .

Hola, hay alguna manera de conseguirla en España? Gracias

I wish they were still making these! I’m looking everywhere and I can’t find one.
I found mine on ebay

+9SS94Cr just for looks, Bolsters use to cut down on scale size for natural materials like stag and MOP...
+cutlerylover Thanks, that makes sense now. I still hope someday Ganzo can make this model with full G10 grips. BTW, how is the lockup/blade play on this one? I have an old G707, the blade play is pretty small, good enough for its price.
Good review man. I have the same model with the black scales. Amazing quality for the price.
Is there any reliable resource for gun & knife laws in different locations? Preferably without needing a law degree to understand.
Thanks, that's just what I was looking for. Even with the helpful interpretations they offer it's still not exactly simple. But definitely better than legalese.
That is a really nice knife. I might actually order one.
Jeff can you recommend any out the front assisted knives?
Hey Jeff, please make a review about the Ganzo G729 and G730. That should be a very popular video among the Spyderco fanbois. ^^
I think for opening boxes and letters this is perfect.
though I'd prefer a 90mm blade length or even 95 !
I just use a pair of scissors and leave my knives for tasks that actually require a knife.
Yes, this is why letter openers have been knives for centuries, not scissors.
doubt you will see this comment but did they quit making those autos ive wanted one since they became legal here and cant find them
Can you please do a review on the buck bones knife? I bought one an want to see what you think about it
A very good review
what about an affordable otf.
Please do CCC balisong reviews
good as an auto.looks difficult to open w/o the spring
+Dave Grohl yeah then its just a button lock, flick of the wrist does the trick the same way people use axis locks
the logo looks kinda like a modified hammer & Sickle
+Glenn056 Communist parties world wide use the symbol including the Communist party of China.

Same price range G719 different blade design but I think basically the same knife. Thanks.
This is illegal in CA correct?
Thx. Great review.
Holly shit!!! Thanks Jeff!
Do you still make balisong videos?
I love it allready
I hear this knife is pretty good
GR7212 usus a chep plastic pivot bush. Wears out with use. Then goes into the trash.
Left pocket carry. Where I usually wear mine anyway.
Hey cutlerylover you should do a review on the Ontario rat 1.
Good looking auto especially for the price 👍😃
Hey Jeff are automatic knives legal here in PA ? I live in Forest City Pa if you know where that is.
www.knifeup.com/pennsylvania-knife-laws/
+jason curley yes legal to own not legal to carry
+cutlerylover Thats so dumb. "OH NO! HIS KNIFE OPENS SLIGHTLY FASTER THAN SOME OTHER KNIVES! THAT MAKES IT AN ASSAULT KNIFE!"
The cops don't really care what kind of knife you carry as long as it's not a fixed blade.
+madmilk mixit Well apparently politicians do...
If you understood metallurgy you would know the weight of a blade dose indicate its quality, and heavier is generally better. Blades can be made lighter and of high quality--I am not aware of any knife maker doing this.
What is opinel? What is mora?
Most of the weight is in the frame and scales buddy, not the blade
I was referring to the blade alone. As for the statement on blade weight he doesn't know wherein he speaks.
+Anon Zero he wasn't referring to the weight of the blade, he meant the entire knife
