- How to Donate Your Hair to Locks of Love: Demonstration Speech
For my speech class, I did a demonstration on how to donate your hair. This speech gives you the basic steps in the process of hair donation. I hope this helps and encourages you to donate your hair to Locks of Love.
Note: The scissors were borrowed from a family member's hair salon, $269 is an estimate cost

I had really wavy beautiful hair down to my butt. It was so long that when i sat down i would constantly sit on it. On my birthday when i was in second grade i told my mom i wanted to cut it off and donate it. I cut it to under my ears and my mom was crying the whole time. Still proud of my decision.

You're so amazing and brave. I don't even let my friends touch my hair, but in the future I will let my hair grow all the way to my knees so I will be able to donate it like I always wanted to. (I don't look good with short hair)
I recently chopped 16 inches off my hair to donate to Pantene Beautiful Lengths program! It feels so short now after it being so long but it was definitely worth it 💖

am a boy I did wanted to donate my hair its short but I will grow its just I have a school that does not allow Lon hair so if they say cut it I guess I say hells to tha no am donating it
ive done this 4 times because i have thick red hair and i always get compliments on it so i wanted to give someone that amazing feeling that i get when people compliment me!

i did locks of love when i was 13 and im going to do it again on my 21st birthday. I am currently 18 so i want to enjoy long hair for a few more years before i get a more mature look :)
I remember when I donated my hair to locks of love I was about seven my hair was down to the bottom of my bottom before I cut it that is something i don't regret I did
I've donated several times and i am not sorry I did

That was an amazing demonstration! While I have no qualms about cutting my long hair for this cause (I've done it, and will do it again when my hair gets long enough again.) doing the big chop in front of my classmates would make me so nervous. I hope you got an A.

Donate to Wigs for Kids or anywhere other than Locks of Love, turns out LOL sells 80% or more of the donated hair to overseas companies, and rarely donate any hair to children in need.
Also..the blatant product placement of Herbal Essences is just ugh..But this girl had good intentions and a good job.
