They've held the title of the 3000m steeplechase from the 80s until the tokyo 2020s. And frankly Kenya usually makes the top 20 in the medal table. And they hold the second spot when it comes to athletics medals.This video was made out of ignorance & laziness. If you listen to the video well. You will notice it says the first African nation ranked 31st at the time the video was made. And that was actually Kenya because of their long distance medals. It is well known that East African countries shine in their long distance sports but that's just a few out of many. This video is about the overall performance from African countries across various discipline. Kenya finally ended 17th position in medal ranking followed by Algeria 39th. So yeah, overall, African countries are not doing very good despite the talents
