Finally got back on my feet from being homeless/jobless etc a couple months ago and catching up on bills, etc; but will soon. It is very similar to the melody of Fred Mcdowell's "You gotta move". Come on in my kitchen is in open G, Tom does an excellent lesson on that, check it out. I have recently bought his DVD Masters of Bottleneck Blues, should keep me busy in the long winter evenings!
A lot of people stole a lot of stuff from these really early blues men...You Gotta Move, Come on in my kitchen...Your Resonator sounds beautiful man. I love the Sebastopol tuning, a good mixture of major and minor, I usually tune up to open E, or Fb as I have a small parlour guitar which sounds a bit flabby in open D. Cheers for another great lesson.

@@dwbstllambstl It's murky, as this melody is one of the most common blues themes. Even though the classic blues artists are granted copyrights, many of the melodies come out of traditional themes.

The Mississippi Sheiks issued Sitting on Top of the World in 1931. Same melody - not sure who is covering whom.
