Which tablet to choose?
I recommend paying attention to the following features:
1) the diagonal of the tablet is not less than 10.9 "and above. It is very inconvenient to draw on a small screen
2) tablet memory is at least 128GB, optimal for starters is 256 and above
3) there is an iPad, and there is an iPad PRO. PRO is more powerful and better, but also more expensive. Here it is already better to look at finances
4) the tablet must be compatible with the stylus, and the stylus must work on pressing.
Personally, I recommend considering the following:
1) iPad Air 2020 with 128 or 256 GB of memory. No sim card needed
2) iPad Pro 2020 128 or 256 GB and 11" diagonal
3) iPad Pro 2020 128 or 256GB and 12.9” diagonal
4) iPad Pro 2021 256GB 11" or 12.9"
And so, all the tablets are good. All of the above tablets are compatible with the Apple Pencil 2 drawing stylus.

Thank you! I’m currently in the stages of deciding which M1 iPad Pro to get.. I’m upgrading from a 2016 iPad Pro, so either one will be a huge step up!
This helped a lot in helping me decide, thank you so much!
I had a question, though. Could you tell me how many layers are available on the 11” iPad Pro, for the usual A3 and A4 sizes that you create?
And is that number different from the number you get on the 12.9” iPad?

and on 11 ″ and 12.9 ″, the number of layers with the same parameters will be the same (provided that both tablets are of the same year of manufacture and PRO).
For example, I have one ipad pro 2020 11 ″ tablet - there will be 31 layers on A4 450dpi sheet. on 12.9” will be exactly the same.
and the second tablet I have is iPad Pro 2018 12.9” - with A4 format 450dpi I have 24 layers, because the tablet is older😀
