Versace arrives in New York for the first time, taking the city by storm with its instantly recognizable style and unmistakable personality. Bags packed and passports in hand, the Versace women and men are welcomed to New York by Liberty’s torch. Welcoming Italia to New York through a collection that embodies freedom and empowerment.
Stars, stripes and Barocco - an explosion of prints celebrates Versace’s Italian roots on the New York runway. Designs intrinsic to the house are mixed in the boldest combinations. In the ‘Les Coupe Des Savage’ print zebra stripes and stars are intertwined with the Greca and gold-tone Barocco elements.
Evoking a jet-set atmosphere, the ‘Voyage Barocco’ print mixes and matches a melting pot of color palettes held together by Versace’s most quintessential motifs - the Greek Key and Barocco.
Iconic pin down - the Medusa Safety Pin makes its return in a new and contemporary way. THAT dress is back: a garment that broke all barriers, a daring gown that made fashion history. The Safety Pin dress that introduced the rock n’ roll attitude to red carpet attire. Hardware is made with the famous Medusa and new pin-clip fusion gold accents that conceal and reveal, ruching fabric together to create contemporary silhouettes. A look that defines Versace.
Heart on their sleeve - The ‘Love Versace’ heart print is inspired by Jim Dine’s designs for Gianni Versace’s New York townhouse. The colourful hearts are printed on silk chiffon that forms one of Versace’s most legendary silhouettes - long sleeves and naval low-cut front - made famous by Jennifer Lopez and prompting the creation of Google Image Search. The clicks to see this dress propelling the development of technology epitomises the importance of Versace’s cultural force.

Candice SHUT IT DOWN! 👌🏼 but what is Emrata doing here ... her walk was not the regal Versace vibe... pass. Collection is BASIC AF, but it’s lost its edge ... getting very “Micheal Kors cheap” with a touch of Pucci and Balmain evident ... sad ... i’m a huge Versace shopper and lover and some pieces were sooo underwhelming and nasty. Gianni was the real pioneer artist and his work was insane, His tribute collection was EVERYTHING. More real supermodels are needed not the “instagram model”

This is all art, with the economy everywhere, all this luxury is for a select few, the economy in italy is not great, people live with their parents till they are past the proper age due to lack, france has seen a share of riots due to economical woes. The same goes for the UK, maybe rich scandanavians can afford this, it is all for a select few, royalty, business people, bankers, doctors, therefore it is just art for the common folk, beautiful none the less. Versace is very overpriced, extremely, it is far too complicated for me to understand all such business strategies. Versace was inspired by prostitutes and escorts, their way of style, their cheap clothes, but he turned such a thing into expensive couture, life is really odd. I like the Versace idea of beauty, sexuality and poetry, but I cannot afford the luxuries the company now sells, neither can a very large, majority of people, even in places with great economies. Again love the art, the concept, the poetry, the vision, but the cost and reality of the sales and profit are another. It is like a whore who sells herself for money, her extreme beauty is for sale, she is a prostitute who gives her radiance for those willing to pay a high fortune.
Some of this stuff is not that expensive, if you save up, and manage your money right, and you've just got to have it.
