I actually enjoyed Powell in the film and his mastery of disguise was quite fun. I certainly didn't dislike the film, the end just seemed a bit much for me. Got rather sappy. Definitely a dark comedy.
I wasn't a huge fan of the movie. I thought it was very well made, very well acted, very well directed. But in terms of the writing, the ending made no sense to me. SPOILER ALERT - do not keep reading if you have not watched the movie yet and you don't want to know anything about it - SPOILER ALERT. Why would the main character choose to spend his life with a partner who killed her first husband and tried to kill a police officer. Yes, the main character finishes killing the police officer, so yeah!, they both like killing people. But why would he be stupid enough to think that she wouldn't kill him if she got bored. They literally had nothing in common, so it's not like their love would stand the test of time. I really would have liked this move so much more if there had been at least one twist. I thought at the end that the murderer was actually working with the police officer to con Glen Powell. That would have been interesting. But no, the script avoided twists except for ludicrous coincidences when the main character and the murderer are eating and the police officer sees them. The movie was not well written at all.
I can totally understand your thoughts. I personally believed that was him letting the personality of the Hit Man finally take over for him. His old persona is gone and the hit man has taken over. But I can understand where you’re coming from. Thanks for watching!
@@JackLautaret I enjoyed the video, even if I wasn't a fan of the movie myself. I'm glad you liked it, and it was a great showcase for Glen. He's a really good actor who deserves his success.
Watched your video but have to say I’m not interested in seeing Hitman at all. I may watch it since it is on streaming and I can turn it off. I do disagree with your assessment of Glen Powell but I am looking forward to Twisters so will let you know after that. So far it is the tornadoes I’m interested in not the actors.
