Very pretty Rob. Nice little solid scraper.

A mini slick (timber framing tool.) Neat to have a small one too. Whether I make one or not will probably depend on whether I get one or more large framing chisels which would perform the same function for me. I do see that this will do things that the tools I mentioned will not. Good idea and good video.

Nice! This would be great for cleaning inside corners and glue lines. I think I need to make one. Thanks for sharing! Awesome to see your channel doing so good!

I love a lot of your projects and tips.
This one is a bit of a head scratcher. What is this doing that a router plane or shoulder plane wouldn't do better?
And before anyone says, "those are expensive!" He could have made a shoulder plane out of those materials.

Sweet. I have a plane iron I use for some of the same purposes, but yours is far prettier and small enough to be more versatile. Thanks.

I made one years ago with a block plane blade and magnets. thoughts are to add counter sink holes to the blade to save it slipping side ways - good thinking 99

I’m asking from a position of ignorance - I’m not trying to sharpshooter you: what’s the advantage of this over a small block plane or a carpenter’s slick?
It seems like a pretty straightforward build, and I’ve got some unused plane iron looking to find themselves in a project - is there a reason I shouldn’t, or other considerations?
    Cheers!

Great tool, looking forward to making one myself. By any chance does anyone know what the rod was that was placed on the edge of the steel during the tempering process? At 3:06 right before the quenching. Thanks

Magnet, if it's still magnetic it's not hot enough. It's a science!
