"The Day the Earth Caught Fire" is one of my favorite albums of all time! Interrupted Melody

Oh how I wore that record down on my turntable. Along with all their other albums. An excellent band and their - for the time - great and off-the-beaten-track lyrics. I always loved these guys and too bad that Slamer still won't talk about it.
Great analysis! City Boys will are on my list of 3 records to bring on the deserted island. Another would be Livestock by Brand X

The story in this concept album is multi-level, there are subthemes about a love triangle as well as going crazy suicidal on a bike just as the world ends. Very well done in all respects!

I just finished (this morning) watching the 1961 British film of the same name. Prophetic.
