Exciting. I’m in. IMO, if this needs to be $1500+/- to be better, I’d have no problem with that. And, I’d say a PRO for $1499 and a PREMIUM for $1999 could also make sense. Think about it. $2k vs $7k (Stern Pro.) Great value if it looks good and plays well.
Really interested in this. I have real pins and so many on Pinside are hating on it but I think anything that will build and bring people into the pinball community is great!
What’s strange to me is that all these guys that had been employed at arcade1up went off in separate directions to continue to make home arcade products… so what happened to arcade1up that they all left?
This could look good next to the 4KP in my basement… 😅 By the way they describe themselves in the kickstarter description it read to me like this would be the first of many tables, not wild about a Alice themed table but if they’re successful maybe I’ll be interested in the next one? The playfield looks fun so maybe I’ll bite, will be watching. Thanks Pdubs
If they can pull this of at less than $1000, imagine the insane profit margins of companies like Stern etc.... A full size machine should obviously be more but how much more before it becomes unreasonable?
PDubs, You know, I think I can drum up a bunch more hype for this machine. I would go more to a Debbie Dallas slant. Maybe Alice Does Wonderland? Of course, they'd probably have to re-imagine the art a bit and get Jenna Ortega to step in for Alice, but I think this would bring more eyes to the project... Ok, just kidding. I don't even have room for this without sacrificing space somewhere else, but I'm excited to see how this turns out. Also, I don't have built up trust enough with the company to drop that many clams on Kickstarter. Thanks for the update! vgv
The pinball machine looks more like a placeholder for future potential job careers on the expense of the kickstarter... let somebody else pay for the experiment... who knows.. it might be successful.. time to buy a lottery ticket! :)
These are the same folks that did the kickstarter for the shuffle golf game we all went in on. And they cancelled it even after exceeding their goals.....doesnt give me any faith at all for something like this unfortunately...they cancelled that project after they went to Asia as well.
@@MikeofDR I remember that, I didn't back that project. I would love to know what happened there. I'm wondering if it was a trademark or copyright thing since it was so similar to other existing products. This pinball is original so I'm not expecting that.
@PDubsArcadeLoft they cancelled it with NO message as to why...then a ton of us commented a bunch in the kickstarted on how horrible a job they did managing it....then they finally came back adn essentially said they went to China and the prices they were getting from factories wasnt what they though it would be. So they wouldnt be able to sell the shuffleboard for the price they told us all.
There’s a market for everything, highly doubt this will have the feel and gameplay of a Full size arcade quality pinball machine. Are parts going to be readily available when it breaks? What’s customer support going to be like? I own several full sized pinball machines, full size arcade machines and I use to own many Arcade 1up machines. The Arcade 1up machines just don’t stand up quality wise to the real thing
This will be a disaster at under 1K. Almost rather they just made it full size but was something cheaper than a stern Pro - for example what if it was a full size pinball maching but they hit a 4K price point or something like cheaper than the stern Home editions by a decent amount - that seems more interesting then this zizzle super cheap stuff at 3/4
@@thesmoness I like that idea but I'm just sharing the news and once I see the final thing when the Kickstarter launches I'll make an informed decision, for now it's been an interesting project to follow
You guys are wasting good money on this piece of trash. I recently picked up a 1984 William’s Space Shuttle pin for only $650 and after restoring it, all in, it cost me less than $2k. Stick to the Real pins or Virtual pins folks or you’ll regret it.
