In a lot of countries it's actually called university not just England and in a lot of countries people take a year off in between school and uni to travel and work and stuff it's really common.
+AJ Dagger I didn't say it was illegal, a lot of people don't even get into collage. It's just my dad's very big on the importance of my education and he feels that if I took a gap year I would just be waisting my life. A gap year isn't as common in America as it is in Britain
